CADCraft is an open-source 2D drafting application written in pure Rust as a clean-room reimplementation of familiar AutoCAD workflows. It provides a command line, object snaps, polar tracking, layers, dimensions, hatches, blocks, layouts, plotting, and parametric constraints. Drawing and modification commands cover lines, polylines, circles, splines, offsets, trimming, arrays, grips, and many other common CAD operations. DXF files from R12 through 2018 are handled natively, while DWG support is provided through the open-source acadrust library. Paper space, viewports, page setups, PDF plotting, SVG export, and PNG export are also available. Every CAD operation can be driven through the UI, CLI, JSON control channel, or MCP server. Native builds target macOS, Windows, Linux, and FreeBSD, with a WebAssembly version for browsers.
