BlueBubbles Server is a free, open-source macOS application that forwards iMessages between a Mac and compatible BlueBubbles clients. It acts as the backend for accessing Apple's messaging service from Android and other supported devices. The server reads the local iMessage database to retrieve conversations, messages, and attachments. It monitors database changes to deliver incoming messages and updates to connected clients. Users can send messages and start conversations remotely through the server. Google Firebase Cloud Messaging provides notifications, while Socket.IO manages client communication. Remote connectivity can be configured through tunneling services such as ngrok. Built with Electron, Node.js, and TypeScript, it requires a compatible Mac running macOS Catalina or newer.
