sometimes adempiere crashes while processing a document... this usually
leaves the document jammed in between two states.
if you try to reverse it and rather unhelpful error message says there
is an active workflow which must be completed first.
to complete the work flow go to
workflow -> workflow process
then in the grid view find the work flow process with who's record_ID is
the same as the document in question.
swtich to the tab view and click
Manage Process -> then check 'Abort' -> click okay.
now, go back to the document, requery (blue arrows), and you should now
be able to reverse the document.

You should login again as your 'supervisor' and click on the green tick pass icon to the bottom right.
Sometimes this is tricky. But playing around changing the supervisor-user hats solved it. I guess when i try it as one person i get bit confused and it takes a longer time to approve it. But it does in the end, and i cannot remember exactly due to what.
Hope this helps.

Am trying to complete a purchase order but am getting the following error message:
"Active workflow for this record exists (complete first) Running(DocPrepare)(Maggie)"
Have found the relevant record in the workflow but am not sure what to do from here.
Workflow Activities Node is "(DocPrepare)" and Workflow state is "Running" (has been running for close to 24 hours) and has not been processed.
Thanks in advance
Tim
