This release fix the critical crash issue while editing html/php/asp files :

Here's Notepad++ v5.0.2 fixed bugs and added features (from v5.0.1) :

1. Fix crash bug for tags match highlighting.
2. Fix the huge file makes notepad++ crash issue.
3. Fix adding item in the history file list while deleting file from Notepad++ bug.
4. Fix a bug that file detection options set are not saved due to doc monitor plugin.
5. Improve opening file performance.
6. Fix bug when closing file using close button.

    oh yeah, well. Do that after every save as. Whenever editing a new file. Several times every day.

  Is anyone else getting this bug: search for something in "Find in files" tab, switch to the "Replace" tab and then switch back to the "Find in files" tab. The Directory will be reset to "C:\Program Files\Notepad++".

  ClamWin AV give me following note - npp.5.0.2.Installer.exe: Trojan.Small-8204 FOUND.

    Downloaded the installer version and installed from it. Nary a peep from Symantec Corporate A/V during or after.

  I have downloaded and run the npp.5.0.2.Installer.exe. It looks like there is a kind of mix up in the Danish language file. It has just turned Swedish.

  Only one other bug, if i have Notepad++ open in Windows Vista, and then open in Explorer a file in Notepad++ it don't open it.

  Very often files in the File menu MRU list do not load when I click on them. I have it set to 25 files. They are usually files I have just been working on. I can close N++ and then open again and they work. Nothing consistent about it in my tests - very random.
  
  Also the new context menu configuration does not work with the TextFX menus or at least I haven't got them to work yet. I've tried

    Don waits for a new release and I wait a little bit for enough responses. At the moment, the download tracker of SF doesn't work. So I don't know how much guys really use it. I only know that there are two major issues that can Notepad++ causes to crash.

  Just found a bug on the Smart highlight. In Wrap mode, some highlighted words will disappear while scrolling (the words are still on the screen, but with no highlight).

  Seems the Auto-Collapse feature doesn't work on the whole page everytime. If I press Alt-2 f.e. to collapse functions I have to press it repeatedly to get all functions to collapse (php) -> was working in 4.9.2. I have the feeling once you had all opened and / or closed it does work as intended, but the first collapsing does not get them all, but only a few, hence the repressing.
