When the line below current line is empty, the curent line won't move down. This behaviour doesn't seems to affect the "Move Up current line". I have assigned the move up/down lines to Ctrl+Up and Ctrl+Down.

It was a regression bug in Scintilla. It seems that in Scintilla v1.74 this bug is fixed.
I have no time (and no intention) to update new version of scintilla. However, if anyone send me the patch, I'll integrate the fixed patch.

In the Editor.cxx file of Scintilla version 1.74 the LineTranspose() function doesn't check if the second line is empty anymore.
In the NP++ 4.2.1 source this check is still on line 4097 of scintilla\src\Editor.cxx.
The conditional code for the if statement ends on line 4102.

Simply removing the if statement itself from the NP++ 4.2.1 version does the trick.

Thanks to Stefan Boumans, this bug is fixed and the correction will be in the next release.

Do you mean "empty", or "non-existant"?  You can't move to the line below the last line unless you go to the end of the last line and press Enter.  A lot of editors do the same thing, but a few let you move the cursor anywhere, including beyond the ends of the lines.

One of a number of threads about this issue is "Bug:"move down line" keyboard shortcut broken".
      See http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=1733588&forum_id=331753

There seems to be a solution. However, this hasn't been implemented yet.

Did you read the messages mentioned above? Wait, let me make it easy for you... you won't have to look back/above, because here is the link again:

Don told me the fix will be included in the next build.

        Hmm... I never said that.

OK, this was about the fix for the CTRL+SHIFT+UP/DOWN procedures to always call BeginUndoAction and EndUndoAction, so any previous changes will be separated from any further changes.
