Since a lot of people want Clickable URLs enabled and a lot of other people want it disabled (that's why N++ now has an option for it in preferences), it could be triggered when user keeps Ctrl pressed, i.e., left-clicking without Ctrl pressed only places caret at click position, but mouse-moving over URL with click pressed changes mouse cursor to HandPoint and left-clicking over it works like current clickable feature. It can even be an option for user. Enable option could still be there, so if it was completely disabled then clicking with or without Ctrl won't have any Clickable result (for those who really don't want this feature enabled...)

If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
cmon' don... that was... hit below the belt... now everybody will expect me to implement that feature... but i'm overloaded... if i'd find any time i can do it (at least i can try - which is the worst part.. to get started)... now i'm supposed to write a download manager for maxthon so this will have to wait...

I can do some support (point to where you should start, answer your question...etc).
If your implementation works and well done, then I'd love to include it in the future release, otherwise since I'm quite busy either, I prefer to do the features in which I'm interested.
