When I install libungif for the use of FuzzyOCR in SpamAssassin, I realize that giftext has a segment fault error need to be patched (http://users.own-hero.net/~decoder/fuzzyocr/giftext-segfault.patch). I've been trying for weeks but fail to compile any version of giflib or libungif.
Although I'm not a programmer and not a linux user, I tried to follow the steps on http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/compile.html, but cannot compile a patched giftext. I tried all version of giflib and libungif, but failed. That's why I think it is my setting problem.
So I'm wondering, if anyone has a patched version of giftext.exe to share ? Or, anywhere I can download from ?
Of course, it will be greatly helpful to all users if the programmers of GnuWin32 can provide a patched version of giflib/libungif binary files.
Is there anyone who can help me on this ? Any information is appreciated. Thanks.

I've filed a bug report (http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1664642&group_id=23617&atid=379173). Since I'm very limited in time at present, I cannot make definite promises as to when it will be fixed.
