I downloaded the Gnuwin32 1.32 version of t1util and for some dumb reason I can't seem to get the t1disasm to disassemble a .pfb file. I'm sure it's just a stupid mistake on my behalf (possibly a syntax error), but what exactly do you type in at the blinking curser after you activate t1disasm.exe? The message I'm recieving is: <stdin> does not start with font marker (`%' or 0x80). The pfb file(s) is located in the same directory as the t1disasm.exe program, and I've tried to perform the disassembly on different pfb files from multiple mfgs. Any help is appreciated.

If no inputfile is given, then t1disasm tries to read from stdin which in this case is the console.
BTW, this can all be read in the manual, which is provided with the package.

Thanks for the reply. Yea the manual was the first place I look for info/instructions. Well, I tried it again as per the instructions and still no go. For example: t1disasm ts.pfb ts.raw
I didn't try with any "optional" operators such as -o. Would an example of an "optional" operator be the following syntex: t1disasm -o ts.pfb ts.raw ?

Thanks for posting the link to the font....I tried it with that font (cmr12.pfb) and still the same out come??? I'll try moving the t1disasm.exe to it's own directory along with the font and see what happens...

Thanks for sending me a new copy of t1disasm.exe. Believe it or not I still get the same results.....I'm stumped! I'm running Windows 98 [first edition] operating system (which shouldn't be a problem), and I checked for all the correct Dynamic Link Libraries (.dll) which everything checked out. Maybe I was just not meant to have this program????

Tried the move to its own directory thing and still nothing (same error). I even tried the Utopia-Regular.pfb as shown in the manual. Maybe something went bonkers when the program unzipped. Any chance you could send me a copy of your t1disasm.exe since yours seems to work? If possible, the addy is: msd6ca7@aol.com. Dump the usual spam blockers "**".

The correct syntax is:
t1disasm inputfile outputfile
If no inputfile is given, then t1disasm tries to read from stdin which in this case is the console.

T1disasm works fine with cmr12.pfb, the 12-points Postscript Computer Modern (TeX) font:
t1disasm cmr12.pfb cmr12.raw
produces a readable version of the font. Could you try this?
I'll see if I can find that file over on the Tex (or archive) site.
