Hello:
I cannot seem to get some coreutils to work as intended on XP (SP2). Examples:

chown never changes owner (on NTFS, run by admin)

chmod only changes permissions for all (never for owner or group (NTFS run by admin)

who and users return with blank line

Many similar problems, I am dumbfunded. The only thing I can say is that my Windows is German - have to change this but could that be the reason?

  User and group information is not (yet) implemented in the Gnuwin32 port of coreutils. This explains the described behavior.
