i`m desparately searching for a native win32 port of gnu tar (or whatever) to be able to create/extract tgz archives >2GB.
is this really that hard to find?
all sorts of gui-archivers (except winrar - but thats commercial) are just crap - i want my lovely tar on windows, too. :)

Try Bsdtar (command-line utility with port at Gnuwin32), or WinZip or IzArc (free), both with GUI.
