Vido is a Video/Audio Downloader frontend for the popular youtube downloader youtube-dl, a rewrite of ytd-gtk by the same team, updated to python 3 using pygobjects and GTK+. Vido now uses yt-dlp, an updated fork of youtube-dl for downloading videos. yt-dlp is faster and supports more sites than the original youtube-dl The program has been tested only on linux and the installation instructions are also provided for the same on our wiki.
