Enlightenment is a window manager for the X11 windowing system. Its design goal is to be as configurable as possible - in look AND in feel.

Fluxbox is a X11 windowmanager build for speed and flexibility.

Xfce is an easy-to-use and easy-to-configure desktop environment using the popular GTK+ toolkit.

This is a set of improved artwiz fonts. They are compatible with the latest fontconfig/Xft-2.0. Thus artwiz fonts work with gtk2/kde3 applications. Multiple encodings are available.

Notion is a tiling, tabbed window manager for the X window system: * Tiling: you divide the screen into non-overlapping 'tiles'. Every window occupies one tile, and is maximized to it * Tabbing: a tile may contain multiple windows - they will be 'tabbed' * Static: most tiled window managers are 'dynamic', meaning they automatically resize and move around tiles as windows appear and disappear. Notion, by contrast, does not automatically change the tiling. You're in control. Features include: * Workspaces: each workspace has its own tiling * Multihead: the mod_xinerama plugin provides very nice dual-monitor support * RandR: mod_xrandr expands on mod_xinerama and picks up changes in the randr configuration without the need for restarting Notion * Extensibility: Notion can be extended with lua scripts.

FVWM - Crystal aims to create an easy to use, eye-candy but also powerful desktop environment for Linux or other Unix-like operating systems. Its goals include seeking for better ways of using window manager and providing it with eyecandy interface. It try to exercise FVWM quite a bit. It has some very interesting features unique to Linux/Unix desktops like direct controls for several media players and its ability to bring in full screen virtualy any application. It can flow through the full screened applications and the desktop in a manner similar to the application stack of the Amiga OS, which provides an innovative way to go around the desktop space, without compromising traditional X multiple desktop pages. The core code was written by harnir Maciej Delmanowski with contributions from many other folks. The current developments are led by Dominique Michel.

The FVWM configuration framework.

LXP is a desktop enviroment identical to Windows XP. LXP is a collection of different pieces of GNU software (icewm, xfe, idesk, etc) modified in order to look and feel identical to Windows XP. LXP has its own icewm themes and utility pack.

wxMathPlot is an add-on library for wxWidgets which provides a framework for easy plotting of mathematical functions, sampled data and generic 2D plots.

AfterStep is a window manager for the Unix X Window System. Originally based on the look and feel of the NeXTStep interface, it has evolved into its own creature with interest expressed by GNUstep, to make AfterStep the window manager of choice for X

Wmping is a simple usefull program that allows to check host status in your network environment. It can be used for monitoring servers in the network.

Twin is a text-mode window environment. It supports mouse and multiple windows, has a built-in terminal emulator and window manager, and can serve as display for client applications. Its retro look-and-feel comes with very modern features: it is best described as a VNC-like server, that can use a variety of displays - all with mouse support: from a plain text terminal, to a Linux console, to a full kde, gnome or X11 desktop. The UDE-Project is creating a new Desktop Environment for X11. The entirely original look & feel is mainly optimized for efficient shell usage (as for programming, sysadministration etc). Offers max. screen space, stability and very low resource usage.

SyncWall is quite a basic wallpaper changer with a special feature, it is the ability to synchronize wallpaper change between several workstations with a basic (and unsecured) client/server protocol. Each workstation must share the same pool of files, there is no FTP or Internet download. Because SyncWall is written with Qt, SyncWall runs on Windows and Linux (MacOSX isn't tested yet).

A simple "my own" Desktop for Linux ( designed by vertigini.com.br, not a WM ) with a strong focus on social networks and Cloud Computer users , based on Fluxbox and ROX . For now, we have packages for Debian , Ubuntu and compatible, but with the code , all written in zenity , shell script , it is very easy to port it to any Linux distribution . The goal is to provide an environment that is a very lightweight option for consecrated Unity , Gnome , KDE or XFCE and LXDE and has excellent usability . How we use the ROX desktop, as a basis , the user will have access to advanced features of the Drag'n Drop . Basically , you can drag applications , documents and folders to the panel , desktop and elsewhere . This is a characteristic of ROX . The default shortcuts are focused for the most common applications of Ubuntu / Debian / Mint . But you can customize them to your like . If a shortcut does not work, simply remove the icon or install the corresponding application .

JWM (Joe's Window Manager) is a Window Manager for X11 using at minimum Xlib.

Enhanced Motif Window Manager (MWM fork). Supports Xinerama, Xrandr, UTF-8/Xft, multiple workspaces and relevant Extended Window Manager Hints (EWMH) .
