Open Source Apple iPhone Virtual Machine Apps

UTM is a full-featured system emulator and virtual machine host for iOS and macOS. It is based off of QEMU. In short, it allows you to run Windows, Linux, and more on your Mac, iPhone, and iPad. UTM/QEMU requires dynamic code generation (JIT) for maximum performance. JIT on iOS devices requires either a jailbroken device or one of the various workarounds found for specific versions of iOS. UTM SE ("slow edition") uses a threaded interpreter which performs better than a traditional interpreter but still slower than JIT. This technique is similar to what iSH does for dynamic execution. As a result, UTM SE does not require jailbreaking or any JIT workarounds and can be sideloaded as a regular app.

Instructions: After starting this VM, enable the Play Store app, by clicking the Settings -> Apps -> Play Store -> Enable. Then, Launch Play Store App, by clicking the 3 vertical dots icon, at the bottom of desktop. Then download whatever app is needed from the Play Store. Quickly, Cancel any automatic downloads of Play Store app ( itself ), from the notification drawer, as this will prevent it from its future working. Disable the Play Store app, after your other app installs are completed. Increase CPU Count and Memory in VM's Settings, as required, for better performance. This system should keep running for Years, without requiring Updates / Breakages. You may cleanup this Application from the htdocs home folder link & its corresponding database, after logging into mysql. The mysql root login credentials, sample .mysql_history, sample .bash_history are all kept intact for quick references in the home folder. These files can be edited using the free FileZilla ftp client software. Just replace td with lapp wherever mentioned ) Upload your PHP Files using the free FileZilla ftp client software, to this server called lapp.local and also connect to its postgresql db, using the free pgadmin gui client, from any PC on your LAN. After the application / database is ready, you can access it using https://lapp.local from any LAN PC. Backup the system regularly to avoid any issues. These are covered in the video. LiquidCore enables Node.js virtual machines to run inside Android and iOS apps. It provides a complete runtime environment, including a virtual file system. LiquidCore also provides a convenient way for Android developers to execute raw JavaScript inside of their apps, as iOS developers can already do natively with JavaScriptCore. One of the newest features in 0.7.0+ is the ability to automatically bundle JavaScript files in the application build process. This is configured in the gradle-config and/or pod-config steps above. The bundling options are stored in the local package.json file in the liquidcore property. Bundling is a convenient way to test and package your JavaScript projects. The bundler uses Metro to package up all of your required node modules into a single file that can be packaged as a resource in your app. If you are running on the Android Emulator or iOS Simulator, you can run a local server on your development machine and hot-edit your JavaScript code.

likeForth started out as a weekend challenge and is now a digital schrebergarten to me. It is inspired by sectorForth and project-k.js, many thanks to the developers! Included is a rather simple interpreter and a Forth compiler, which give you an interactive development environment. It doesn't contain most Forth words but will be extended from time to time. I hope, likeForth could be somewhat useful and is therefore published under MIT licence.
