YAACC is an android upnp controller. It allows you to discover, use and control upnp devices in your network in order to stream media files. Since it's a subset of upnp it also is capable of communicating with dlna devices. It is possible to start an upnp server on your device in order to play media from your device on any upnp renderer in your network. If you start the yaacc upnp renderer service you are able to control your device by another upnp controller in the network. This is quiet useful for android hdmi-sticks plugged on your TV. If you install yaacc on them and start the upnp renderer service, you are able to stream media file to it using yaacc on your smart phone or tablet. This tiny tool is a simple remote control for Panasonic video cameras which support Wi-Fi. For now it's able to complete the following operations: show you preview of the video you are recording or going to record (you can watch it in the window of the tool or scale it as you prefer), turn camera video recording on, off, and to use camera zoom to scale the final picture. Before you start working with this video tool you need to connect your camera to your PC and find out IP address and network mask of the camera. IP address can be derived from the information of your PC's Wi-Fi adapter. This is either DHCP-server IP address or default router for this adapter. You can get this info using command line prompt in console by executing the following commands: ipconfig /all - for Windows (you'll get full info), ip route - for Linux to get the default router IP for your Wi-Fi adapter which is also the camera address.

This project was started as a Masters project back in 2006. I completed the project as part of my dissertation, and produced software to render Maya script (MEL) to animate a piano model I'd also created. From this I produced a number of videos, which I uploaded periodically to YouTube. Following numerous request I attempted to create a standalone application to playback MIDI performances without the need for a 3rd party 3d modelling/rendering application such as Maya. Given my original background in Java, and it's existing support for MIDI files, I proceeded to attempt to create this using Java 3D. However, (and this sounds like an excuse, which it probably is), life got in the way and I never completed the project to a commercial standard for reproduction. As such, I'm offering the source here in good will to other developers/musicians who might be able to take what I've achieved and carry it forward to a useful learning tool.
