A zero-conf git repository hub for Windows and macOS
RepoZ is a zero-conf git repository hub with Windows Explorer- & CLI enhancements. It uses the git repositories on your machine to create an efficient navigation widget and makes sure you'll never lose track of your work along the way. It's populating itself as you work with git. It does not get in the way and does not require any user attention to work. RepoZ will not compete with your favorite git clients, so keep them. It's not about working within a repository: It's a new way to use all of your repositories to make your daily work easier. The hub provides a quick overview of your repositories including their current branch and short status information. Additionally, it offers some shortcuts like revealing a repository in the Windows Explorer or macOS Finder, opening a command line tool in a given repository and checking out git branches. -

A collection of Git extensions to provide high-level repository operations for Vincent Driessen's branching model. This fork adds functionality not added to the original branch. For those who use the Bash or ZSH shell, you can use my fork of git-flow-completion which includes several additions for git-flow (AVH Edition), or you can use the original git-flow-completion project by bobthecow. Both offer tab-completion for git-flow subcommands and branch names with my fork including tab-completion for the commands not found in the original git-flow. For a wide variety of commands hooks or filters can be called before and after the command. The files should be placed in .git/hooks In the directory hooks you can find examples of all the hooks available. You can easily publish a feature you are working on. The reason can be to allow other programmers to work on it or to access it from another machine. -

nbstripout
strip output from Jupyter and IPython notebooks
Opens a notebook, strips its output, and writes the outputless version to the original file. Useful mainly as a git filter or pre-commit hook for users who don't want to track output in VCS. This does mostly the same thing as the Clear All Output command in the notebook UI. You can download and install the latest version of nbstripout from PyPI, the Python package index. Strip output from IPython / Jupyter / Zeppelin notebook (modifies the file in-place). Usually, nbstripout is installed per repository so you can choose where to use it or not. You can choose to set the attributes in .gitattributes and commit this file to your repository, however there is no way to have git set up the filters automatically when someone clones a repository. This is by design, to prevent you from executing arbitrary and potentially malicious code when cloning a repository. -

GVM (Go Version Manager)
Go Version Manager
gvm is a version management tool for the Go programming language, inspired by tools like RVM (for Ruby). It allows you to manage, install, switch between, and uninstall multiple Go versions (including “tip” or weekly snapshots). It also supports “pkgsets” (similar to virtual environments) so you can maintain isolated sets of Go package dependencies associated with specific Go versions or projects. gvm caches cleaned source copies to speed up repeated installs and helps keep your Go workspace clean. Developers use it especially when working on projects that require different Go versions (e.g. legacy code vs bleeding-edge) or when testing compatibility across releases. Because it handles both version switching and package isolation, it simplifies the friction of juggling multiple Go toolchains on the same machine. -

It aims at increasing the discoverability of useful forks of open-source projects. Simply type a repository's URL in the Text Field. The criteria is simple: if a fork was created, but never received any other activity on its master branch, it is filtered out. Adding a sorted list of starred forks to the GitHub forks page. Results are filtered out if there were never any commits pushed on the main branch since the fork was created. This is meant to help increase the discoverability of useful forks of open-source projects. Sometimes, a project might be abandoned, or someone had a different idea of how it should be implemented... and when you go looking for those interesting forks, you find yourself searching through potentially hundreds of them. This tool is here to help you discover the hidden jewels you were looking for! -

Write workflows scripting the GitHub API in JavaScript
This action makes it easy to quickly write a script in your workflow that uses the GitHub API and the workflow run context. To use this action, provide an input named script that contains the body of an asynchronous function call. Since the script is just a function body, these values will already be defined, so you don't have to import them. All scripts are now run with Node 16 instead of Node 12 and are affected by any breaking changes between Node 12 and 16. By default, the JSON-encoded return value of the function is set as the "result" in the output of a github-script step. For some workflows, string encoding is preferred. This option can be set using the result-encoding input. By default, requests made with the github instance will not be retried. You can configure this with the retries option. -

Dolt, it's Git for data
Dolt is a SQL database that you can fork, clone, branch, merge, push and pull just like a git repository. Connect to Dolt just like any MySQL database to run queries or update the data using SQL commands. Use the command line interface to import CSV files, commit your changes, push them to a remote, or merge your teammate's changes. All the commands you know for Git work exactly the same for Dolt. Git versions files, Dolt versions tables. It's like Git and MySQL had a baby. We also built DoltHub, a place to share Dolt databases. We host public data for free. If you want to host your own version of DoltHub, we have DoltLab. If you want us to run a Dolt server for you, we have Hosted Dolt. MySQL comes with a MySQL server called mysqld and a MySQL client called mysql. You're only interested in the client. The statistical analysis tool for git repositories
Gitinspector is a statistical analysis tool for git repositories. The default analysis shows general statistics per author, which can be complemented with a timeline analysis that shows the workload and activity of each author. Under normal operation, it filters the results to only show statistics about a number of given extensions and by default only includes source files in the statistical analysis. This tool was originally written to help fetch repository statistics from student projects in the course Object-oriented Programming Project (TDA367/DIT211) at Chalmers University of Technology and Gothenburg University. Shows cumulative work by each author in history. Filters results by an extension (default: java,c,cc,cpp,h,hh,hpp,py,glsl,rb,js, SQL). Can display a statistical timeline analysis. Scans for all filetypes (by extension) found in the repository. Multi-threaded; uses multiple instances of git to speed up analysis when possible. -

It uses the same on-disk format as git so it works with existing repos. isomorphic-git is a pure JavaScript implementation of git that works in node and browser environments (including WebWorkers and ServiceWorkers). This means it can be used to read and write to git repositories, as well as fetch from and push to git remotes like GitHub. isomorphic-git aims for 100% interoperability with the canonical git implementation. The included isogit CLI can operate on git repositories on your desktop or server. isomorphic-git aims to be a complete solution with no assembly required. CMake's missing package manager
CPM.cmake is a cross-platform CMake script that adds dependency management capabilities to CMake. It's built as a thin wrapper around CMake's FetchContent module that adds version control, caching, a simple API and more. Any downloadable project or resource can be added as a version-controlled dependency though CPM, it is not necessary to modify or package anything. Projects using modern CMake are automatically configured and their targets can be used immediately. For everything else, the targets can be created manually after the dependency has been downloaded. After CPM.cmake has been added to your project, the function CPMAddPackage can be used to fetch and configure a dependency. Afterwards, any targets defined in the dependency can be used directly. CPMAddPackage takes the following named parameters. The origin may be specified by a GIT_REPOSITORY, but other sources, such as direct URLs, are also supported. -

Pure-Python Git implementation
Dulwich is a Python implementation of the Git file formats and protocols, which does not depend on Git itself. All functionality is available in pure Python. Optional C extensions can be built for improved performance. Dulwich takes its name from the area in London where the friendly Mr. and Mrs. Git once attended a cocktail party. Supported Python versions are Python 3.5 and later. Versions of Dulwich prior to 0.20 also supported Python 2.7. Supported platforms include Linux, Mac OS X and Windows. Dulwich comes with both a lower-level API and higher-level plumbing ("porcelain"). By default, Dulwich' setup.py will attempt to build and install the optional C extensions. The reason for this is that they significantly improve the performance since some low-level operations that are executed often are much slower in CPython. -

Split a repository to read-only standalone repositories. splitsh-lite replaces the subtree split Git built-in command to make splitting a monolithic repository to read-only standalone repositories easy and fast. Both strategies work well and both have drawbacks as well. splitsh helps use both strategies by providing tools that automatically synchronize a monolithic repository to standalone repositories in real-time. splitsh-lite is a sub-project that provides a faster implementation of the git subtree split command, which helps create standalone repositories for one or more sub-directories of a main repository.
