libgit2 is a portable, pure C implementation of the Git core methods provided as a re-entrant linkable library with a solid API, allowing you to write native speed custom Git applications in any language which supports C bindings. Libgit2 is developed with CMake, and this is be the easiest way to build a binary from the source. The CMake build system provides lots of options to configure the libgit2 build for your particular needs. It’s highly recommended that you build libgit2 as a static library for Xcode projects to simplify distribution significantly. libgit2 is used for powering Git GUI clients, such as gmaster and GitKraken and on Git hosting providers such as GitLab, Azure, GitHub, DevOps, among others. Installing from Homebrew will not give you the option omit certain git-extras if they conflict with existing git aliases. To have this option, build from source.

git-bug is fully embedded in git, you only need your git repository to have a bug tracker. git-bug is distributed. Use bridges to import and export to other trackers. An interactive terminal UI is available using the command git bug termui to browse and edit bugs.

hub is an extension to command-line git that helps you do everyday GitHub tasks without ever leaving the terminal. Hub is a tool that wraps git in order to extend it with extra functionality that makes it better when working with GitHub. Available commands are split into two groups: those that are already present in git but that are extended through hub, and custom ones that hub provides. Most hub commands are supposed to be run in a context of an existing local git repository. Hub will automatically detect the GitHub repository that the current working directory belongs to by scanning its git remotes. In case there are multiple git remotes that are all pointing to GitHub, hub assumes that the main one is named "upstream", "github", or "origin", in that order of preference.

rcss - rcs simplified. RCS is revision control. While the newer revision controls like git have taken the world by storm, I find as a systems administrator that I don't need all the features of git, I need some thing simple and that stays on my server and is simple and easy to use. RCS fit the bill for me for revision control. RCS didn't make it easy to do things like compare, revert. So I wrote rcss, to make working with rcs MUCH simpler, at least for myself. I hope you find it as useful as I have.

syncSQL is a perl server-side CVS script, that sends commit information to a mySQL database, so commits can be viewed, tracked and filtered throught a simple web page or any mySQL client.
