Tracking a Xcode project in a version control system is annoying. Simply adding files can lead to merge conflicts that have to be solved manually, although it would be possible to resolve the conflict automatically if the merge algorithm would be aware of the structure of Xcode's project file. After long and annoying merge sessions in one of my projects, I came to the conclusion, that writing a merge driver for git which understands the structure of the project file would be a worthwhile endeavour, as it would save me from solving the merge conflicts for my co-workers. Unfortunately, that script was finished only after the project ended. However, as I didn't want to let the work go to waste, this script is now published as open source under the GNU GPL 3. This script needs knowledge about the structure of Xcode's project. However, there doesn't seem to be any documentation (and I would be surprised if there were any).

Tool for turning many repos into a meta repo. why choose many repos or a monolithic repo, when you can have both with a meta repo? meta is powered by plugins that wrap common commands, letting you execute them against some or all of the repos in your solution at once. meta is built on loop, and as such inherits loops ability to easily target a particular set of directories for executing a common command (eg meta git status --include-only dir1,dir2. See loop for more available options). meta is a tool for managing multi-project systems and libraries. It answers the conundrum of choosing between a mono repo or many repos by saying "both", with a meta repo! Give every engineer on your team the same project setup, regardless of where it's cloned. minirepo (abreviated to mr) is designed to handle small to middle sized repositories with rcs. It supports version bumping and snapshoting, which is simmilar to a git or fossil commit hash It keeps track of files checked into the repo via a MANIFEST file The main configuration is located inside the MR/ directory for each subdirectory initialized. Its priamry purpose is to track files with rcs related commands. This is to make it easier to deal with a lot of files tracked by rcs and also to offer some extra functionality like snapshots and automatic versioning.

Node.js version management: no subshells, no profile setup, no convoluted API, just simple. n is not supported natively on Windows. There are a variety of ways of specifying the target Node.js version for n commands. Most commands use the latest matching version, and n ls-remote lists multiple matching versions. n downloads a prebuilt Node.js package and installs to a single prefix (e.g. /usr/local). This overwrites the previous version. The bin folder in this location should be in your PATH (e.g. /usr/local/bin). The downloads are kept in a cache folder to be used for reinstalls. The downloads are also available for limited use using n which and n run and n exec. The global npm packages are not changed by the install, with the exception of npm itself which is part of the Node.js install.

nodebrew is a straightforward version manager for Node.js that installs into your home directory and lets you switch Node versions with a single command. It can download official binaries or build from source, track multiple installed versions, and set a global “current” version by updating your shell PATH. The tool keeps Node and npm isolated per version, which prevents project conflicts and makes upgrades or rollbacks reversible. Commands for listing, aliasing, and uninstalling versions keep long-lived environments tidy, while simple shims make the active toolchain transparent to existing scripts. Because nodebrew is lightweight and has minimal external dependencies, it’s popular on servers, CI agents, and developer laptops alike. In everyday use, it removes the friction from testing code against multiple Node releases and keeping old projects alive alongside new ones.

octonode is a library for nodejs to access the github v3 API. You can configure the protocol, hostname and port to use. For example to connect to a GitHub Enterprise instance. Request options can be set by setting defaults on the client. (e.g. Proxies). Authenticate to github in cli mode (desktop application) Ensure that the scopes argument is an object containing the required note property. For two-factor authentication add the One Time Password otp key with its corresponding code to the configuration object. If you would like to work with promises rather than callbacks, you can call the promise based version of any of the api calls by appending Async to the function call. If a function is said to be supporting pagination, then that function can be used in many ways as shown below. Results from the function are arranged in pages.

Opam is a source-based package manager for OCaml. It supports multiple simultaneous compiler installations, flexible package constraints, and a Git-friendly development workflow. Opam was created and is maintained by OCamlPro. To get started, checkout the Install and Usage guides. Run ./configure. If you don't have the dependencies installed, this will locally take care of all OCaml dependencies for you (downloading them, unless you used the inclusive archive we provide for each release). This is all you need for installing and using opam, but if you want to use the opam-lib (to work on opam-related tools), you need to link it to installed libraries. It's easier to already have a working opam installation in this case, so you can do it as a second step. If you install on your system (without changing the prefix), you will need to install as root (sudo). As sudo do not propagate environment variables, there wil be some errors.
