Simple and useful time tracker. Collects tasks and works (timeslots) in hierarchical tree. Has: reports (based on xslt templates), localization (7 langs), xml data format, ical, jnlp and JIRA (R) support. Runs on Windows, Mac and Linux. NoteJot is a command-line driven shell script for managing notes. Usability is a primary goal allowing notes to be easily added, removed, edited, listed, and searched. Files can be attached to notes and notes can be grouped via categorization tags.

When executed, CHECK-TASKS identifies the tasks to remind and/or execute from the task lists. A given task is reminded by email and/or executed only once a day. See http://kwartik.wordpress.com/check-tasks/ for a detailed example.
