    VSCodium

    VSCodium

binary releases of VS Code without MS branding/telemetry/licensing

Microsoft’s vscode source code is open source (MIT-licensed), but the product available for download (Visual Studio Code) is licensed under this not-FLOSS license and contains telemetry/tracking. The VSCodium project exists so that you don’t have to download+build from source. This project includes special build scripts that clone Microsoft’s vscode repo, run the build commands, and upload the resulting binaries for you to GitHub releases. These binaries are licensed under the MIT license. Telemetry is disabled. If you want to build from source yourself, head over to Microsoft’s vscode repo and follow their instructions. VSCodium exists to make it easier to get the latest version of MIT-licensed VSCode. Please note that some Visual Studio Code extensions have licenses that restrict their use to the official Visual Studio Code builds and therefore do not work with VSCodium.

    CopyTranslator

    CopyTranslator

Foreign language reading and translation assistant

Copy-and-translate foreign language assisted reading and translation solution. Just copy the text to the clipboard, you can view the translation results in the next second. Solve the problem of garbled codes caused by redundant sentence breaks and line breaks, and the translation results are more in line with reading habits. Infinitely close to the system-level open source implementation of translating, drag and drop to select and copy the translation. With the update of CopyTranslator, the functions are constantly enriched, and the differences between different versions are gradually significant. Therefore, the user guides of different versions are separate. CopyTranslator monitors the clipboard changes, processes the clipboard content (such as removing redundant line breaks, etc.), and displays the translation results. Compared with copying and pasting directly to the web version, the translation effect is greatly improved.

Notes are written in Markdown, plus you can write KaTeX expressions, Mermaid diagrams and more, check out our Markdown cheatsheet. Notable provides a very powerful Markdown editor, it's the same one VS Code uses in fact, so features like multi-cursors, a minimap and best-in-class syntax highlighting are built-in. Notes and attachments are simply stored on your disk, this is extremely portable and powerful: you could edit your notes via a third-party editor on mobile, have them synchronized via Dropbox, use Git, run a regex-based search and replace etc. A dark theme is also available. In the future support for custom themes will be added as well. Zen mode provides a minimalistic editing and reading experience, hiding everything that's not necessary. Notable is also keyboard friendly, has a quick open window, and we'll soon add a command palette too, so you won't have to click any buttons if you don't want to.

    YAML

    YAML

JavaScript parser and stringifier for YAML

yaml is a definitive library for YAML, the human friendly data serialization standard. This library supports both YAML 1.1 and YAML 1.2 and all common data schemas, passes all of the yaml-test-suite tests. It can accept any string as input without throwing, parsing as much YAML out of it as it can, and supports parsing, modifying, and writing YAML comments and blank lines. The library is released under the ISC open source license, and the code is available on GitHub. It has no external dependencies and runs on Node.js as well as modern browsers. For the purposes of versioning, any changes that break any of the endpoints or APIs documented here will be considered semver-major breaking changes. Undocumented library internals may change between minor versions, and previous APIs may be deprecated (but not removed). The minimum supported TypeScript version of the included typings is 3.9; for use in earlier versions you may need to set skipLibCheck: true in your config.

    Slate Text Editor framework

    Slate Text Editor framework

Completely customizable framework for building rich text editors

you can do things like turn a selection of text bold, or add a semantically rendered block quote in the middle of the page. The most important part of Slate is that plugins are first-class entities. That means you can completely customize the editing experience, to build complex editors like Medium's or Dropbox's, without having to fight against the library's assumptions. Slate's core logic assumes very little about the schema of the data you'll be editing, which means that there are no assumptions baked into the library that'll trip you up when you need to go beyond the most basic use cases. The document model used for Slate is a nested, recursive tree, just like the DOM itself. This means that creating complex components like tables or nested block quotes are possible for advanced use cases. But it's also easy to keep it simple by only using a single level of hierarchy.

    Lexical

    Lexical

Lexical is an extensible text editor framework

An extensible text editor framework that does things differently. Lexical is comprised of editor instances that each attach to a single content editable element. A set of editor states represent the current and pending states of the editor at any given time. Lexical is designed for everyone. It follows best practices established in WCAG and is compatible with screen readers and other assistive technologies. Lexical is minimal. It doesn't directly concern itself with UI components, toolbars or rich-text features and markdown. The logic for these features can be included via a plugin interface. It's super easy to get started with Lexical in any environment. Lexical is framework agnostic, but provides a set of bindings for React to help you get off the ground even quicker. After the initial setup, delightfully ergonomic APIs make building custom functionality straightforward and downright fun!

    TOAST UI Editor

    TOAST UI Editor

Markdown WYSIWYG Editor. GFM Standard + Chart & UML Extensible

TOAST UI Editor provides Markdown mode and WYSIWYG mode. Depending on the type of use you want like production of Markdown or maybe just editing the Markdown. The TOAST UI Editor can be helpful for both usages. It offers Markdown mode and WYSIWYG mode, which can be switched any point in time. Today CommonMark is the de-facto Markdown standard. GFM (GitHub Flavored Markdown) is another popular specification based on CommonMark, maintained by GitHub, which is the Markdown mostly used. TOAST UI Editor follows both CommonMark and GFM specifications. Write documents with ease using productive tools provided by TOAST UI Editor and you can easily open the produced document wherever the specifications are supported. Through the context menu of the table, you can add or delete columns or rows of the table, and you can also arrange text in cells. Highlight the code block area corresponding to the language provided by Prism.js.

    Inkdown

    Inkdown

A WYSIWYG Markdown editor, improve reading and editing experience

Inkdown (bluestone) is a Markdown reading, editing, and sharing tool. Almost fully compatible with the GitHub Flavored Markdown standard, while extending the Mermaid graphics and Katex formula, supporting light and dark styles, and somewhat different from other WYSIWYG editors, Inkdown does not pursue complete customization. Its core goal is comfortable reading, smooth editing of Markdown, and document sharing in the simplest way possible. As a document publisher, markdown source code mode is undoubtedly efficient and free, but as a note, it is not conducive to reading. The table element of markdown is not conducive to writing, and the double-column mode is not conducive to focusing, so the Inkdown Editor was developed. It combines rich text with markdown editing habits to help you record daily, and saves it in standard markdown format, which allows your notes to be used anywhere and backed up in any way.

    ngx-quill

    ngx-quill

Angular components for the Quill Rich Text Editor

ngx-quill is an angular (>=2) module for the Quill Rich Text Editor containing all components you need. It is possible to set custom default modules and Quill config options with the import of the QuillModule.forRoot(). Use <quill-editor></quill-editor> in your templates to add a default quill editor. Do not forget to include quill + theme CSS in your build process, module or index.html! For builds with angular-cli >=6 only add quilljs to your scripts or scripts section of angular.json, if you need it as a global. In most cases, a WYSIWYG editor is used in the back office to store the content to the database. On the other side, this value should be used, to show the content to the end user. In general, QuillJS recommends using a QuillJS instance to present your content. Just create a quill editor without a toolbar and in read-only mode. With some simple CSS lines you can remove the default border around the content.
