LaTeXDraw is a graphical drawing editor for LaTeX. LaTeXDraw can be used to 1) generate PSTricks code; 2) directly create PDF or PS pictures.

If so, you probably know that the process is far from simple. Since LaTeX documents contain special commands and keywords (the so-called "markup") that are not part of the "real" text, you cannot run a grammar checker directly on these files: it cannot tell the difference between markup and text. The other option is to remove all this markup, leaving only the "clear" text; however, when a grammar tool points to a problem at a specific line in this clear text, it becomes hard to retrace that location in the original LaTeX file. TeXtidote solves this problem; it can read your original LaTeX file and perform various sanity checks on it: for example, making sure that every figure is referenced in the text, enforcing the correct capitalization of titles, etc. In addition, TeXtidote can remove markup from the file and send it to the Language Tool library, which performs verification of both spelling and grammar in a dozen languages.

JabRef is a graphical application for managing bibliographical databases. JabRef is designed specifically for BibTeX bases, but can import and export many other bibliographic formats. JabRef runs on all platforms and requires Java 1.8 or newer.

Writer2LaTeX and Writer2xhtml is a collection of converters from OpenDocument Format (ODF) to LaTeX/BibTeX, HTML+MathML and EPUB. It is delivered as a standalone java library, as a command line application and as extensions for LibreOffice.

jPicEdt is an extensible internationalized vector-based drawing editor for LaTeX and related packages (TikZ, PsTricks,...), written in Java. It is also a library of reusable high-level graphic primitives.

RTextDoc is an editor for structured text documents such as LaTeX, AsciiDoc, DocBook. RTextDoc has proofreading capabilities: on-the-fly spelling, instant grammar checking and built-in free dictionaries. RTextDoc has syntax highlighting, bracket matching, folding, document structure browser for sections and labels, bookmarks, manager for LaTeX symbols, an editor for mathematical equations,integrated BibTeX database manager and several tools to convert LaTeX to HTML and back. AsciiDoc files can be converted to DocBook, HTML and PDF files.

Bib-it is a BibTeX frontend and a bibliographic style generator.

Bibliography converter. Converts BibTeX bibliographies to Docbook 5.0 bibliography documents. Can be used as a command-line tool, Ant task or as library in other applications.

BibTeXlib is a BibTeX library written in JAVA. You can use it to extract information from BibTeX files, manipulate this information, and save it to BibTeX files.

BibTeXlipse is an Eclipse plugin for managing and analyse bibliography databases. Mainly for BibTeX databases, but will import and export many other bibliographic formats. It's currently in planning phase.

The BibXML Editor helps to manage bibliography information stored in an XML-based file. Export filters allows to generate BibTex files or HTML pages.

Eclipse PDF Renderer is a plugin for the Eclipse IDE. It adds a view to Eclipse in which PDF documents can be displayed. It might be useful if your Eclipse workspace contains several PDF files, or if you're using other Eclipse plugins like texlipse.

FigTeX manages images and their easy inclusion in LaTeX documents. Similar to BibTex, the image information is stored in an external file and is imported into the document as needed. It comes with a comfortable GUI for managing the image library.

This library is used for showing various rich text, including LaTeX, images, codes, tables, and normal styles such as center, bold, italic, and so on. An interesting feature is, that you can customize most tags as whatever you want. It uses CodeView to support code highlight, and JLaTeXMath to support LaTeX. The method to parse rich text is something like recursively descending. I'm open to PR that could improve performance, fix bugs and do anything to make this library better.

Java application for creating graphs, with a simple and intuitive interface. Obtaining LaTeX code for designed graph is a single-click operation. Allows creating less and more complicated graphs for LaTeX documents without any knowledge about TikZ library. The program lets you design and edit vertices, edges and labels to your liking thanks to a wide range of variants adequate to TikZ library. GraTeX incorporates common editing mechanisms like saving/loading projects, undo-redo & copy-paste operations, and many other useful features. The application has been developed by two students of University of Science and Technology in Krakow, Poland.

Program converts HTML pages into LaTeX format. Own mappings between HTML tags and character entities can be defined. CSS formatting properties are also supported (including colours). Implemented in Java.
