    Orbit Determination Toolbox (ODTBX)

    Orbit Determination Toolbox (ODTBX)

Advanced mission simulation and analysis tool

The Orbit Determination Toolbox (ODTBX) is developed by the Navigation & Mission Design branch at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center as an advanced mission simulation and analysis tool used for concept exploration, proposal, early design phase, and/or rapid design center environments. ODTBX functions and utilities are combined in a flexible architecture that allows for modular development of navigation algorithms and simulations. The core ODTBX functionality is realized through a set of estimation commands that incorporate Monte Carlo data simulation, linear covariance analysis, and measurement processing at a generic level.

    Virtual Sound Level Meter

Virtual Sound Level Meter for analyzing calibrated sound files

This project is the MATLAB development of a virtual sound level meter. The program will read in a calibrated .wav file and allow the user to analyze it as one would analyze a sound field with a sound level meter. The software implements Fast, Slow, Impulse and LEQ; A, C and Flat Weighting; Ln and Noise Dose analysis; Octave and 1/3 Octave band analysis; high resolution FFT analysis and spectrograms. Band analysis can be made using fast FFT methods or slower, but ANSI standard methods. Source code requires MATLAB + Signal Processing Toolbox. Developed under MATLAB R2010a (but might work with some earlier versions) Executable version does not require MATLAB and runs under Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7.

    LS-PIV Supplemental Material

Line-scanning particle image velocimetry for analyzing blood flow data

Line-scanning particle image velocimetry (LS-PIV) is an analytical method to quantify blood velocity data generated by many confocal and two-photon excited fluorescence microscopes. We hope that this method will be of use to the research community! The associated files include Matlab code for LS-PIV and example data-sets of measured blood flow in the cerebral cortex of mouse. For additional information, please see the manuscript "Line-Scanning Particle Image Velocimetry: an Optical Approach for Quantifying a Wide Range of Blood Flow Speeds in Live Animals" by Tyson N. Kim, Patrick W. Goodwill, Yeni Chen, Steven M. Conolly, Chris B. Schaffer, Dorian Liepmann, Rong A. Wang.

    LAVA for AFM

    LAVA for AFM

Lloyd's Algorithm-based Volumetric Analysis for AFM Images

This MATLAB-based program enables analysis of AFM images. In particular, it allows the user to measure the volume of all distinguishable features in an image and to isolate and sort those particles. As the name implies, LAVA uses Lloyd's Algorithm, also known as k-means sorting, to identify a small set of volumes representative of the actual distribution of particle in the image. Although developed for determining feature volume, LAVA is also completely compatible with other types of image analysis, such as fluorescence intensity. Work is in progress to provide three-channel functionality, allowing comparison of relative intensity of red, green, and blue channels in multi-color images.

    MICROMECHANICS

    MICROMECHANICS

A collection of lecture notes and accompanying code on micromechanics

The collection MICROMECHANICS (micromechanics.zip) includes: (1) lecture notes (microbook.pdf) on the analysis of heterogeneous materials and homogenization, and (2) source codes (microcode.tar.bz2) that accompany the computational exercises in Part II of the notes. Instructions on using the codes are given in the README file of each exercise. Further instructions can be found in the file microcode.tar.bz2. The MATLAB codes are used for visualization, evaluating analytical bounds and estimates as well as in the generation of digital and particulate microstructures. The Fortran codes are based on the finite element method in linear and nonlinear settings, the latter capable of finite deformations with damage. The underlying theory is outlined in the lecture notes. -- İlker Temizer Assistant Professor Department of Mechanical Engineering Bilkent University 06800 Bilkent, Ankara Turkey

    Gait Analysis Graphical User Interface

Extracts gait parameters from 120 fps video of mouse walking

This project enables behavioral scoring of mouse gait using MATLAB. This was developed and used in the laboratory of Veronique VanderHorst, MD PhD at Beth Israel Deaconess/Harvard Medical School. First, a GUI displays videos of mice walking on a custom apparatus and enables the user to manually detect paw position. This data is saved. Additional functions take this spatiotemporal information and extract commonly used gait parameters, which are then exported to a MATLAB structure to be used for scientific analysis.

OARS Android IMU & GPS Data Logger

OARS Android IMU & GPS Data Logger

OARS - Orientational Awareness Reaction Systems

The OARS app is a data logger developed to run on Android OS and devices containing an internal GPS ,along with micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) chipset. Specifically the Invensence MPU-6000 or newer. This chip is a highly accurate inertial measurement unit, or (IMU). Contained within this small IMU is a 3-axis Accelerometer, 3-axis Gyro, and 3-axis Magnetometer. Along with a built in processor, it can calculate movements along 9-axis. Depending on platform and app setting, OARS can record sensor values at a rate up to 100hz, or 100 positions per second. GPS data such as Longitude, Latitude, Direction, Speed, and Elevation, are also logged at approximately 1hz, or 1 update per second. Giving you the ability to precisely map an equipped objects location, orientation, and rate of movement along any plane with extreme accuracy.
