Open Source LabVIEW Test and Measurement Software

OpenPMU is a collaborative project developing a software defined Phasor Measurement Unit for Smart Grids and electrical utilities. This project is currently hosted by Queen’s University Belfast.

A collection of VIs for easier interface with basic CANopen client operations such as SDO download, SDO upload and PDO messages. Helper VIs for arbitrary mapping of dictionary objects to specific PDOs are also implemented. The project includes a quite crude implementation of the DSP 402 profile for handling motor drives in velocity and/or in position mode.

The ability to tailor the setup accordingly to particular application is an advantage that makes the effort necessary for construction a worthy investment. However, one advantage of using a commercial setup – repeatability and unification, cannot be archived, as every laboratory is developing a specific data acquisition protocol and software. Our Nanopuller software (open ISC license) presented here is intended to eliminate this obstacle. We give access to a program, which with only a minimum effort can be adjusted for vast array of typical equipment.

OpenFlowChem is a platform for quick automation of laboratory processes and experiments. The platform is described in a publication DOI:10.1039/C8RE00046H in details. Briefly, you have self-sufficient Device Monitors – programming units responsible for communication with a single physical unit – and a System Module – the high-level programs that send commands to the Device Monitors. In the files presented, you can download several Device Monitor for hardware as well as ample examples of System Modules used for real processes as well as for starting using the OpenFlowChem platform.

This LabView project includes a Web Service (WS) and website interface hosted by a LabView server. The WS and website allow clients to acquire measurements from instruments remotely in real time, using standard browsers (e.g. iPhone) without plugins.

Switchboard is a hardware driver abstraction library for LabVIEW™ applications. Once integrated with you application you can acquire data from new devices simply by editing a text config file to let Switchboard know about your device.

This toolkit allows complete control of a microscopy setup from Labview, Matlab, Scilab, Python, .Net, VB, IgorPro, Mathematica and more. Included is a standalone program for image acquisition and scripting control of a scientific microscope.

The libec-vi-repo project hosts LabVIEW virtual instruments (VI's) for use with the CH Instruments libec SDK, which allows you to control CH Instruments hardware from LabVIEW. The mission of this project is to cultivate a free and open community for the extensible development of these VI's.
