    Testing images for scientific purposes

The TESTIMAGES archive is a huge and free collection of sample images designed for analysis and quality assessment of different kinds of displays and image processing techniques. The archive includes more than 2 million images originally acquired and divided in three different categories: SAMPLING and SAMPLING_PATTERNS (aimed at testing resampling algorithms), COLOR (aimed at testing color rendering on different displays) and PATTERNS (aimed at testing the rendering of standard geometrical patterns). Please cite the following papers when using any image in this archive: * ASUNI N, GIACHETTI A, "TESTIMAGES: A Large Data Archive For Display and Algorithm Testing", Journal of Graphics Tools, Volume 17, Issue 4, 2015, pages 113-125, DOI:10.1080/2165347X.2015.1024298 * ASUNI N, GIACHETTI A, "TESTIMAGES: a large-scale archive for testing visual devices and basic image processing algorithms", STAG - Smart Tools & Apps for Graphics Conference, 2014.

    L3-3 Test Card Generator

Card generator for the russian L1-3/L3-3 tube tester.

Card generator for the russian L1-3/L3-3 tube tester. WARNING: The software is still in alpha state, so there are definitely some bugs. If you want to use the created cards for real tests, check them manually with EXTREME care first .. else damage or destruction of your tester can easily occur. ESPECIALLY check if multiple conflicting functions are assigned to the same line (by looking on the universal card), which would lead to shorts. No warranties of any kind! Use at your own risk! Most of the old bugs should (still, no guarantees) be fixed by now and lots of functionality added. I created a good amount of cards for myself and they were all fine, so I deceided to make a public alpha release again. I also added a short manual including a few examples. IMPORTANT: Unfortunately life circumstances changed and I'm also not really using those testers anymore, so I'm not really able to maintain it. Feel free to fork if you want to, I would love to see it kept alive.

    Perl OBD-II Logger

    Perl OBD-II Logger

A Perl program for logging OBD-II PID data

The goal of the Perl OBD-II Logger project is to create a flexible and efficient application that can capture and log OBD-II Mode 0x01 PID data from an automotive scantool. It is designed with accurate and efficient PID data logging in mind, and provides NO support for reading or resetting diagnostic trouble codes. By default, the output log file contains time-stamped PID values in a simple Comma Separated Values (CSV) format that can be readily imported into popular data analysis or spreadsheet applications. (Output to an SQLite3 database file is also available). It is written in Perl, so it runs in any computing environment with a working Perl interpreter. The program supports scantools that are based on the ELM Electronics ELM327 or OBD Solutions STN1110 programmed microcontrollers. It has been tested with scantools using legacy RS-232 serial, serial over USB, and Bluetooth hardware interfaces. Perl OBD-II Logger even runs on the popular Raspberry Pi computer!

    OpenSQUID

Superconducting QUantum Interference Devices (SQUIDs) control software

OpenSQUID is a Python framework for the control of SQUID (superconducting quantum interference device) readout electronics. It currently supports the Star Cryoelectronics PCI-1000 electronics with PFL-100 and PFL-102 flux-locked loops. Simultaneous operation of both PFL-100s and PFL-102s from a single PCI-1000 is supported. More features are under development. The software is implemented in Python and aims to be easily integrated with user-defined measurement and control code.

    Network Emulator

Distributed Network emulation tool for high rate packet

I need your help: In order to make this framework easier and more useful, I need your contribution. The idea behind this framework is to develop a GUI like GNS3 and make this framework more stable. So if you are interested and have C/C++ programming skills, please contact me at zahid.med@gmail.com This framework allows to emulate a network by managing ethernet packets coming from two kind of interfaces: UDP and virtual network card. This tool is similare to dynamips (GNS3) but it can manager a higher packet rate. It can help to study DDoS attacks based on Botnet using the Lightweigth C++ Virtual Machine (LwCVM) in order to emulate Bots. This project is based on the following projects and libraries: LightweighIP of the TCP/IP stack pthread libpcap for communication with virtual machines dynamips Linux MicroCore

    MICROMECHANICS

    MICROMECHANICS

A collection of lecture notes and accompanying code on micromechanics

The collection MICROMECHANICS (micromechanics.zip) includes: (1) lecture notes (microbook.pdf) on the analysis of heterogeneous materials and homogenization, and (2) source codes (microcode.tar.bz2) that accompany the computational exercises in Part II of the notes. Instructions on using the codes are given in the README file of each exercise. Further instructions can be found in the file microcode.tar.bz2. The MATLAB codes are used for visualization, evaluating analytical bounds and estimates as well as in the generation of digital and particulate microstructures. The Fortran codes are based on the finite element method in linear and nonlinear settings, the latter capable of finite deformations with damage. The underlying theory is outlined in the lecture notes. -- İlker Temizer Assistant Professor Department of Mechanical Engineering Bilkent University 06800 Bilkent, Ankara Turkey

    Soundcard Digital Voltmeter

Measures analog DC signals with the PC soundcard.

With this software and a simple external hardware, the sound card input of a PC can be used to measure stationary or slowly changing analog signals (e.g. voltages). The hardware converts the input signal into a voltage proportional frequency. The software measures the frequency via the sound card and calculates the corresponding input signal level which is displayed numerically and in a “scope-like” view.
