    ShellJS

    ShellJS

Portable Unix shell commands for Node.js

ShellJS is a portable (Windows/Linux/macOS) implementation of Unix shell commands on top of the Node.js API. You can use it to eliminate your shell script's dependency on Unix while still keeping its familiar and powerful commands. You can also install it globally so you can run it from outside Node projects, say goodbye to those gnarly Bash scripts! ShellJS is proudly tested on every node release since v8! ShellJS now supports third-party plugins! You can learn more about using plugins and writing your own ShellJS commands in the wiki. The most important thing is to require the most recent version of ShellJS as a peer-dependency. If you want to add unit tests for your plugin as well, you'll probably want it as a dev-dependency too.

    Vue CLI Plugin Electron Builder

    Vue CLI Plugin Electron Builder

Easily Build Your Vue.js App For Desktop With Electron

If it works as an SPA, it will work in Electron. Because it extends your regular config, it works with all plugins and customized webpack options. All the functions of VCP Electron Builder are entirely configurable and well documented. VCP Electron Builder provides tools for easy debugging and testing, powered by Spectron. Open a terminal in the directory of your app created with Vue-CLI 3 or 4 (4 is recommended). Then, install and invoke the generator of vue-cli-plugin-electron-builder. Native modules are supported and should work without any configuration, assuming node integration is enabled. If you get errors, you may need to set the native dependency as a webpack external. Preload files allow you to execute JS with Node integration in the context of your Vue App (shared window variable). Read Vue ClI's documentation to learn about using environment variables in your app.

    blessed

    blessed

    A high-level terminal interface library for node.js

blessed is a high-level terminal interface library for Node.js that provides a curses-like API in JavaScript. It is designed to help developers build rich terminal applications with widgets, screens, layout behavior, input handling, and efficient rendering. The project reimplements ncurses-style behavior by working with terminfo and termcap data and exposing a Program object for terminal escape sequences. Its widget system feels more DOM-like than many low-level terminal libraries, making complex terminal interfaces easier to structure. The renderer optimizes screen updates with smart cursor movement, scroll-region support, back-color erase behavior, and a damage buffer. blessed is useful for dashboards, editors, terminal tools, monitoring interfaces, and other interactive command-line applications.

Boxes can include titles with independent alignment controls and can position their contents to the left, center, or right. Width, height, padding, margins, background colors, and horizontal placement can all be customized. The library can also expand a box to use the available terminal screen area through its fullscreen option. It is useful for notices, status panels, warnings, summaries, and visually separating important command-line output.

    gitmoji-cli

    gitmoji-cli

A gitmoji interactive command line tool for using emojis on commits

A gitmoji interactive command-line tool for using emojis on commits. This project provides an easy solution for using gitmoji from your command line. Gitmoji-cli solves the hassle of searching through the gitmoji list. Includes a bunch of options you can play with! A gitmoji interactive client for using gitmojis on commit messages. You can use the commit functionality in two ways, directly or via a commit-hook. If you want to integrate gitmoji-cli in your project I would recommend going for the hook mode as it supports more use cases, it's more flexible, and has better integration with other tools, whereas the client mode is more quick and easy to use. Run the init option, add your changes and commit them, after the prompts will begin and your commit message will be built. Pretty print all the available gitmojis.

    log-update

    log-update

Log by overwriting the previous output in the terminal

log-update is a JavaScript utility for repeatedly updating terminal output in place instead of printing a new line for every change. It is particularly useful for progress bars, spinners, animations, dashboards, and other continuously changing command-line interfaces. The package performs partial redraws when possible to reduce visible flicker. Output can be written to either standard output or standard error. Developers can clear temporary content, finalize it, or permanently append selected messages to terminal scrollback. Custom log instances can target arbitrary streams and control cursor visibility. Fallback terminal width and height values can also be configured when stream dimensions are unavailable.

    npm-run-all

    npm-run-all

A CLI tool to run multiple npm-scripts in parallel or sequential

The official npm run-script command cannot run multiple scripts, so if we want to run multiple scripts, it's redundant a bit. Let's shorten it by glob-like patterns. We sometimes use & to run multiple commands in parallel, but cmd.exe (npm run-script uses it by default) does not support the &. Half of Node.js users are using it on Windows, so the use of & might block contributions. npm-run-all parallel works well on Windows as well.

    plop

    plop

    Consistency made simple

Plop is a little tool that saves you time and helps your team build new files with consistency. Plop generates code when you want, how you want, and can be changed whenever you want. Simple to Learn Creating a good boilerplate shouldn't require a master's degree. Read over the one-page getting started guide and you'll be well on your way. Once plop is setup, anyone on the team can simply type plop into the terminal. The right way to create your code, is now the easiest way. Allow your boilerplate to grow and change with the codebase it is generating. Adding new generators can be as simple as writing a template. Keep everyone up to date as they build. When your generators live in your codebase, everyone gets the latest version by simply pulling from the repo. Plop uses the popular handlebars template engine to generate your files. Many developers are already familiar with the handlebars syntax.
