Simple web form for static assignment of DHCP leases
This is a very simple web interface for management of static DHCP leases in DNSmasq and Mikrotik. It generates config files for DNSmasq and uses RouterOS API to manage Mikrotik. Network devices (usually PCs) are separated into subnets by department and use triplets (hostname, MAC address, IP address) for identification. Information is stored in MySQL and only exported by your explicit desire. Subnets are rarely changed, so there is no web interface for them - you have to edit the SQL table SUBNET manually. -

...Once set up the commands are; dhcp0, dhcp1, idown, torstart, and torstop. dhcp0 and dhcp1 take down the eth0 and eth1 interfaces, randomize the MACs, bring the interfaces back up, and connect with dhcp again. idown shuts the interfaces down (including wlan0, wlan1), randomizes the MACs, and takes no further action. torstart starts tor and privoxy. torstop stops tor and privoxy. These are just useful scripts to make such operations easy commands, they are a convenience tool and use other programs to do the real jobs. Also included are instructions on how to have your MAC randomized on boot. -

It also made it easier to do manage the network by limiting some computers access to the local network only. Creating closed networks. And it also worked as a database over all our computers and equipment, making it easier to keep track of everything. -
