Available in several languages. Unicode file names are supported, so it is possible to rename without problems files that have names containing characters from Japanese, Chinese, Arab, etc. This may seem common nowadays, but back then when it was added (2003) it was a big plus. Despite these options, I still decided to craft another one by myself, because they are either not being actively developed, lack variety, or ask for some. Tons of supported file types. The Deduplicating Warp-speed Advanced Read-only File System. A fast high compression read-only file system for Linux and Windows. DwarFS is a read-only file system with a focus on achieving very high compression ratios in particular for very redundant data. This probably doesn't sound very exciting, because if it's redundant, it should compress well. However, I found that other read-only, compressed file systems don't do a very good job at making use of this redundancy. See here for a comparison with other compressed file systems. DwarFS also doesn't compromise on speed and for my use cases, I've found it to be on par with or perform better than SquashFS. For my primary use case, DwarFS compression is an order of magnitude better than SquashFS compression, it's 6 times faster to build the file system, it's typically faster to access files on DwarFS and it uses less CPU resources. -

Gobuster
Directory/File, DNS and VHost busting tool written in Go
Gobuster is a tool used to brute-force. This project is born out of the necessity to have something that didn't have a fat Java GUI (console FTW), something that did not do recursive brute force, something that allowed me to brute force folders and multiple extensions at once, something that compiled to native on multiple platforms, something that was faster than an interpreted script (such as Python), and something that didn't require a runtime. Provides several modes, like the classic directory brute-forcing mode, DNS subdomain brute-forcing mode, the mode that enumerates open S3 buckets and looks for existence and bucket listings, and the virtual host brute-forcing mode (not the same as DNS!). Since this tool is written in Go you need to install the Go language/compiler/etc. Full details of installation and set up can be found on the Go language website. Once installed you have two options. You need at least go 1.16.0 to compile gobuster. -
