[This project moved to Github and is no longer maintained here] Minimum intrusion Grid (MiG) is an attempt to design a new platform for Grid computing which is driven by a stand-alone approach to Grid, rather than integration with existing systems. The goal of the MiG project is to provide Grid infrastructure where the requirements on users and resources alike is as small as possible (minimum intrusion). MiG strives for minimum intrusion but will seek to provide a feature rich and dependable Grid solution. In line with the minimum intrusion concept, you only need to download and install the middleware if you want to run your own Grid. Users and resources only need a certificate and a browser to use MiG.

This software presents a flexible and configurable proposal for monitoring and management of real and virtual HPC infrastructures, compatible with paradigm of cloud computing. We help you to answer: 1) What is the performance of my resources? 2) What equipment and resources do we have already? 3) What do we need to upgrade or repair? 4) What can we consolidate to reduce complexity or reduce energy use? 5) What resources would be better reused somewhere else? The EaseFilter file system filter driver can intercept requests targeted at a file system or another file system filter driver. By intercepting the request before it reaches its intended target, the filter driver can extend or replace functionality provided by the original target of the request.

MinimalModbus is an easy-to-use Python module for talking to instruments (slaves) from a computer (master) using the Modbus protocol, and is intended to be running on the master. Example code includes drivers for Eurotherm and Omega process controllers. The only dependence is the pySerial module (also pure Python). This software supports the ‘Modbus RTU’ and ‘Modbus ASCII’ serial communication versions of the protocol, and is intended for use on Linux, OS X and Windows platforms. It is open source, and has the Apache License, Version 2.0.

mysql_innodb_backup is just an 'automation' and 'simplification' of existing MySQL server command tools. It can be called with one line to backup or restore InnoDB or MyISAM databases without interrupting operations.
