The nagios-statd daemon allows a Nagios server to monitor and alert about various resources on remote Linux machines. If using python >= 2.6 on the remote server, nagios-statd stops accepting connections after 39 consecutive requests in a short period of time. In this way, the root directories are copied first and as time passes, deeper directories are copied.
