Backup utility for small offices, written in Python. Features: zip, tar.gzip and tar.bz2 compression, predefined backup profiles, differential and incremental backups, file filters, file database with hashes, media sizes, multi-volume etc.

Backtory is a slim backup/restore software for unix-like operating systems, designed for stand-alone internet servers. It features differential backups, remote storage using various protocols as well as encryption/signing of backup archives.

BaGoMa backs-up and restores the contents of a GMail account. It can restore all the labels (folder structure), as well as the flags (seen/read, flagged) of a message.

Simple python script for keeping a backup set with an arbitrary frequency and any number of surviving snapshots. Uses the rsync reference directory feature to minimize space by using file hard links. Launch it from /etc/crontab.

Balbec is a visualization addon for nagios. It displays host and service info either in html for the enduser or in xml for further processing. As Balbec uses nagios hostgroups it's not necessary to maintain a complex seperate configuration.

Band Saw is a syslog monitoring program for GNOME. It allows the user to setup filters that define which messages should generate alerts. Combined with syslog's remote logging functionality it provides a scalable and easily deployed monitoring solution.

Keep track of bandwidth usage Allows Linux users to monitor their Transmit and Receive bandwidth usage with a simple text based menu, via your browser or from the command line. Some of us are unable to get "unlimited", "all that you can eat", internet packages and are left trying to stay within our Download/Upload limits, whilst paying dearly for the "privilege". Equally, we didn't have the foresight or the money to purchase an snmp managed router, so we are unable to strip the traffic information from the router itself, rather we have to rely on the logging into our ISP, to discover if we are approaching the bandwidth limit. Bandwidth logger, runs a daemon that notes how much traffic is passing through your network interface. Bandwidth logger was written to install on a system using 'systemd' but can be configured to run under 'upstart'. An upstart script "/usr/share/bandwidth/bandwidth.upstart.conf" is included but will have to installed manually for those using 'upstart'.

Based off of bandwidthd (http://sourceforge.net/projects/bandwidthd) but updated to support large networks (13,000+ devices). IPv6 support is in the works. Our thanks goes to the original authors of bandwidthd who made this possible.

Standalone application that uses the clipboard to insert a tag in any document and/or in a log file. Tags contain context information (e.g., date, author) + text note, picture or webcam shot. Tags can contain variables generated by user and/or external programs.

This project turns edge devices such as Raspberry Pi into an intelligent gateway with deep learning running on it. No internet connection is required, everything is done locally on the edge device itself. Further, multiple edge devices can create a distributed AIoT network. At DT42, we believe that bringing deep learning to edge devices is the trend towards the future. It not only saves costs of data transmission and storage but also makes devices able to respond according to the events shown in the images or videos without connecting to the cloud. One of the applications of this intelligent gateway is to use the camera to monitor the place you care about. For example, Figure 3 shows the analyzed results from the camera hosted in the DT42 office. The frames were captured by the IP camera and they were submitted into the AI engine. The output from the AI engine will be shown in the dashboard.

BCD is a shorthand for "Better CD". It is modeled after "cdargs" utility and allows you to give aliases to frequently used directories and "cd" to them. BCD is cross platform and was tested on Linux, Cygwin and Windows XP.

Birne is a CD burning program and acts as a frontend for cdrecord and mkisofs. It is written in Python around the pygtkmvc framework and has a nice Gtk+ interface. Major design goal is simplicity and clarity.
