Blazing fast terminal file manager written in Rust, based on async I/O

Blazing fast terminal file manager written in Rust, based on async I/O. All I/O operations are asynchronous, CPU tasks are spread across multiple threads, making the most of available resources. Provides real-time progress updates, task cancellation, and internal task priority assignments. Also integrated with Überzug++, covering almost all terminals. Combined with the pre-caching mechanism, greatly accelerates image and normal file loading.

    Coffee GB

    Coffee GB

    Gameboy emulator in Java 8

I had neither the cartridge nor the GPU emulation yet, so even the simplest game wouldn’t be an option. However, when the original Gameboy starts, it executes a simple 256-bytes program, a kind of firmware displaying the Nintendo logo and self-testing the system. That was exactly the thing I was looking for - after just 3 days I had an application running the Gameboy code!

    fping

    fping

    High performance ping tool

...There was no official fping release from 2002 until end of 2011. Various patches existed, but were never integrated "upstream". Also, the official maintainer didn't answer emails, so I decided to just step up and take over maintenanceship. To mark this change of maintenance, and avoid confusion, I decided to call it version 3. Besides a new maintainer, fping now also features a completely rewritten main loop implementation which improves performance significantly. The run time is now close to the theoretical time required to send and receive the pings under the specified parameters.

    rustix

    rustix

Safe Rust bindings to POSIX-ish APIs

rustix provides efficient memory-safe and I/O-safe wrappers to POSIX-like, Unix-like, Linux, and Winsock syscall-like APIs, with configurable backends. It uses Rust references, slices, and return values instead of raw pointers, and I/O safety types instead of raw file descriptors, providing memory safety, I/O safety, and provenance. It uses Results for reporting errors, bitflags instead of bare integer flags, an Arg trait with optimizations to efficiently accept any Rust string type, and several other efficient conveniences. rustix is low-level and, and while the net API supports Windows Sockets 2 (Winsock), the rest of the APIs do not support Windows; for higher-level and more portable APIs built on this functionality, see the cap-std, memfd, timerfd, and io-streams crates.

    Hotkey

    Hotkey

Trigger an action on an element with a keyboard shortcut

Trigger an action on a target element when the hotkey (key or sequence of keys) is pressed on the keyboard. This triggers a focus event on form fields or a click event on other elements. By default, hotkeys are extracted from a target element's data-hotkey attribute, but this can be overridden by passing the hotkey to the registering function (install) as a parameter.

GCSF is a virtual filesystem that allows users to mount their Google Drive account locally and interact with it as a regular disk partition. Update (April 2019): I am currently still using and maintaining this project but I have very little time to dedicate to it. As such, it might take a while before I get around to fixing known bugs / implementing feature requests / responding to open issues. Thank you for understanding and for expressing sustained interest in this project. GCSF requires the stable branch of the Rust programming language, which can be installed following the instructions on rustup.rs. ...

    DwarFS

    DwarFS

A fast high compression read-only file system for Linux, Windows

...DwarFS is a read-only file system with a focus on achieving very high compression ratios in particular for very redundant data. This probably doesn't sound very exciting, because if it's redundant, it should compress well. However, I found that other read-only, compressed file systems don't do a very good job at making use of this redundancy. See here for a comparison with other compressed file systems. DwarFS also doesn't compromise on speed and for my use cases, I've found it to be on par with or perform better than SquashFS. For my primary use case, DwarFS compression is an order of magnitude better than SquashFS compression, it's 6 times faster to build the file system, it's typically faster to access files on DwarFS and it uses less CPU resources.

    SwiftNIO

    SwiftNIO

Network application framework for protocol servers and clients

...High-level implementations are usually libraries that come with an API that doesn't expose SwiftNIO's ChannelPipeline and can therefore be used with very little (or no) SwiftNIO-specific knowledge. The implementations listed below do still do all of their I/O in SwiftNIO and integrate really well with the SwiftNIO ecosystem. SwiftNIO aims to support all of the platforms where Swift is supported. Currently, it is developed and tested on macOS and Linux.

Everything should work exactly as you would expect a sidebar to work without all of the glitchy behavior that is normally accepted in (neo)vim sidebars.
