Clutch is a Java framework for distributed computing using mobile agents. Built using ProActive [http://www-sop.inria.fr/sloop/javall/], it is meant to be a scalable toolkit that can be used to distribute computation across an arbitrary number of nodes.

CoDeK - Java Concurrent Development frameworK is a very simple, open-source, academic java library aimed to help the development of Java multi-threading concurrent applications.

This is a modern set of libraries intended for use in software related to the Tandy Radio Shack Color Computer (the CoCo). Some functionality may also be useful in more general Motorola 6809 centered projects. CocoCommons provides a set of libraries for common tasks such as reading DECB and RBF filesystems, interpretting common file formats, and displaying CoCo-like screens. These are used extensively in the DriveWire 4 project and the upcoming nineserver project. In time it these libraries should implement most of the functionality now found in the Toolshed project.

CocoaAsyncSocket provides easy-to-use and powerful asynchronous socket libraries for macOS, iOS, and tvOS. The classes are described below. The project is currently configured to build for iOS, tvOS and Mac. Simply add the package dependency to your Package.swift and depend on "CocoaAsyncSocket" in the necessary targets. You can also include it into your project by adding the source files directly, but you should probably be using a dependency manager to keep up to date. GCDAsyncSocket is a TCP/IP socket networking library built atop Grand Central Dispatch. Automatically accept incoming connections over both IPv4 and IPv6 with a single instance of this class. No more worrying about multiple sockets. Secure your socket with ease using just a single method call. Available for both client and server sockets. It runs entirely within its own GCD dispatch_queue, and is completely thread-safe. Further, the delegate methods are all invoked asynchronously onto a dispatch_queue of your choosing.

The Cocoon Adaption Kit is a NetKernel module which enables the use of Cocoon Components (Generators, Transformers, Serializer, Actions) from within the NetKernel XML Application Server.

Testing distributed systems under hard failures like network partitions and instance termination is critical, but it's also important we test them under less catastrophic conditions because this is what they most often experience. Comcast is a tool designed to simulate common network problems like latency, bandwidth restrictions, and dropped/reordered/corrupted packets. It works by wrapping up some system tools in a portable(ish) way. On BSD-derived systems such as OSX, we use tools like ipfw and pfctl to inject failure. On Linux, we use iptables and tc. Comcast is merely a thin wrapper around these controls. Windows support may be possible with wipfw or even the native network stack, but this has not yet been implemented in Comcast and may be at a later date. On Linux, Comcast supports several options: device, latency, target/default bandwidth, packet loss, protocol, and port number.
