An Evaluation Framework for Adaptive Scalable Video Streaming
SVCEval-RA is a simulation framework for rate-adaptive video transmission using the Scalable Video Coding standard (H.264/SVC). Our approach uses feedback information about the available bandwidth to allow the video source to select the most suitable combination of SVC layers for the transmission of the video sequence. The proposed solution has been integrated into the network simulator NS-2 in order to support realistic network simulations.
AQA-AODV is a new QoS routing protocol for MANETs based on AODV, which creates routes according to application QoS requirements.
We have introduced link and path available bandwidth estimation mechanisms and an adaptive scheme that can provide feedback to the source node about the current network state, to allow the application to appropriately adjust the transmission rate.
The project is implemented as part of the CS-110 operating system course at IIIT Bangalore 2013. Aodv protocol is implemented on GPU using CUDA 4.0. A significant gain in execution time is observed when compared to CPU. Thus a simulator which uses GPU can be built on similar lines of NS2 if all the protocols can be parallelized and implemented on GPU.

Linuxap-eh is a small Linux distro (1MB) that can be installed into several wireless access points: US Robotics 2450, SMC 2652W and Addtron AWS-100. It can use aodv, openvpn, web admin, telnet with passwd, and much more in the future.
This educational software simulates an Ad-hoc network with AODV algorithm, it uses a high level view and only works in Routing layer. it has a user-friendly graphical user interface and has been written in java language.
SIMRAN adds security to the famous AODV protocol. The project is based on SAODV draft and AODV RFC.Its basic functionality lies in securing the AODV protocol by authenticating the non-mutable fields of the routing message using digital signatures.
HericomMesh is a linux distribution for the Linksys WRT54G. This is a replacement firmware for this low cost router.
The Hericom Mesh uses a public networking standard AODV, to build the mesh.
