Throttling port forwarder
A port forwarder that allows limiting the data rate
This interactive program forwards all incoming connections to a given host and port. The data rate per connection can be limited or inhibited completely. Individual connections or all connections can be terminated. This is useful for testing the behavior of software under slow network conditions. USB resetting is the closest equivalent to physically unplugging and re-plugging a USB device. you might ask , How is that useful ? well the use cases will be different from user to another. In my case, it helps with accessing my slightly damaged old USB external hard drive after a mount in unix-like OSes without any i/o issues. Another one is, loop resetting my USB headset solves some weird glitching sound i constantly have while using them. Those are my special use cases. There most be more, that it can help with. -
