Filesystem Component
The Filesystem component provides basic utilities for the filesystem
The Filesystem component provides platform-independent utilities for filesystem operations and for file/directory paths manipulation. The component contains two main classes called Filesystem and Path. mkdir() creates a directory recursively. On POSIX filesystems, directories are created with a default mode value 0777. You can use the second argument to set your own mode. exists() checks for the presence of one or more files or directories and returns false if any of them is missing. copy() makes a copy of a single file (use mirror() to copy directories). If the target already exists, the file is copied only if the source modification date is later than the target. This behavior can be overridden by the third boolean argument. touch() sets access and modification time for a file. The current time is used by default. You can set your own with the second argument. The third argument is the access time. -

The VarDumper component provides mechanisms for walking through any arbitrary PHP variable. It provides a better dump() function that you can use instead of var_dump(). The VarDumper component creates a global dump() function that you can use instead of e.g. var_dump. By using it, you’ll gain per object and resource types specialized view to e.g. filter out Doctrine internals while dumping a single proxy entity, or get more insight on opened files with stream_get_meta_data. Configurable output formats, HTML or colored command line output. Ability to dump internal references, either soft ones (objects or resources) or hard ones (=& on arrays or objects properties). Repeated occurrences of the same object/array/resource won’t appear again and again anymore. Moreover, you’ll be able to inspect the reference structure of your data. Ability to operate in the context of an output buffering handler. -

The HttpKernel component provides a structured process for converting a Request into a Response by making use of the EventDispatcher component. It's flexible enough to create full-stack frameworks, micro-frameworks or advanced CMS systems like Drupal. Every HTTP web interaction begins with a request and ends with a response. Your job as a developer is to create PHP code that reads the request information (e.g. the URL) and creates and returns a response (e.g. an HTML page or JSON string). Typically, some sort of framework or system is built to handle all the repetitive tasks (e.g. routing, security, etc) so that a developer can build each page of the application. Exactly how these systems are built varies greatly. The HttpKernel component provides an interface that formalizes the process of starting with a request and creating the appropriate response. The component is meant to be the heart of any application or framework, no matter how varied the architecture of that system. -

Routing Component
Maps an HTTP request to a set of configuration variables
When your application receives a request, it calls a controller action to generate the response. The routing configuration defines which action to run for each incoming URL. It also provides other useful features, like generating SEO-friendly URLs (e.g. /read/intro-to-symfony instead of index.php?article_id=57). Routes can be configured in YAML, XML, PHP or using either attributes or annotations. All formats provide the same features and performance, so choose your favorite. Symfony recommends attributes because it’s convenient to put the route and controller in the same place. On PHP 8, you can use native attributes to configure routes right away. On PHP 7, where attributes are not available, you can use annotations instead, provided by the Doctrine Annotations library. This configuration tells Symfony to look for routes defined as annotations in any PHP class stored in the src/Controller/ directory. -

The main goal is to allow libraries to receive a Psr\Log\LoggerInterface object and write logs to it in a simple and universal way. The LoggerInterface exposes eight methods to write logs to the eight RFC 5424 levels (debug, info, notice, warning, error, critical, alert, emergency). Every method accepts a string as the message, or an object with a toString() method. Implementors MAY have special handling for the passed objects. If that is not the case, implementors MUST cast it to a string. The interfaces and classes described as well as relevant exception classes and a test suite to verify your implementation are provided as part of the psr/log package. Note that this is not a logger of its own. It is merely an interface that describes a logger. You can pick one of the implementations of the interface to get a logger. If you want to implement the interface, you can require this package and implement Psr\Log\LoggerInterface in your code. -

The Finder component finds files and directories based on different criteria (name, file size, modification time, etc.) via an intuitive fluent interface. If you install this component outside of a Symfony application, you must require the vendor/autoload.php file in your code to enable the class autoloading mechanism provided by Composer. The $file variable is an instance of Symfony\Component\Finder\SplFileInfo which extends PHP’s own SplFileInfo to provide methods to work with relative paths. The Finder object doesn’t reset its internal state automatically. This means that you need to create a new instance if you do not want to get mixed results. The component provides lots of methods to define the search criteria. They all can be chained because they implement a fluent interface. The location is the only mandatory criteria. It tells the finder which directory to use for the search. -
