    BFG Repo-Cleaner

    BFG Repo-Cleaner

    Remove large or troublesome blobs

...The git-filter-branch command is enormously powerful and can do things that the BFG can't, but the BFG is much better for the tasks above, because is faster and simpler. The BFG isn't particularily clever, but is focused on making the above tasks easy. If you need to, you can use the beautiful Scala language to customize the BFG. Which has got to be better than Bash scripting at least some of the time. The BFG will update your commits and all branches and tags so they are clean, but it doesn't physically delete the unwanted stuff. Examine the repo to make sure your history has been updated, and then use the standard git gc command to strip out the unwanted dirty data.

    Kopia

    Kopia

Cross-platform backup tool for Windows, macOS and Linux

Kopia is a fast, secure, and open-source backup and restore tool designed to help users and administrators protect important data by creating encrypted, deduplicated snapshots and storing them in a range of local, network, or cloud storage locations. Instead of imaging entire machines, it focuses on backing up selected files and directories with efficient incremental backups that only transfer changed data, which reduces storage and bandwidth needs. Kopia has both a command-line interface for automation and scripting as well as a graphical UI for interactive use, making it suitable for advanced users and those who prefer visual tools. Its architecture supports end-to-end encryption, optional compression, and deduplication, so multiple backups can share data efficiently, and repositories can be stored securely even in untrusted locations.

    GitHub Markup

    GitHub Markup

Determines which markup library to use to render a content file

This library is the first step of a journey that every markup file in a repository goes on before it is rendered on GitHub.com. GitHub-markup selects an underlying library to convert the raw markup to HTML. See the list of supported markup formats provided. The HTML is sanitized, aggressively removing things that could harm you and your kin—such as script tags, inline-styles, and class or id attributes. Syntax highlighting is performed on code blocks. MooseFS

    MooseFS

Fault tolerant, POSIX-compliant, Net Distributed Storage / File System

MooseFS (MFS) is a fault tolerant, highly performing, scaling-out, network distributed file system. It spreads data over several physical servers which are visible to the user as one resource. For standard file operations MooseFS mounted with FUSE acts as other Unix-alike file systems: * A hierarchical structure (directory tree) * Stores POSIX file attributes (permissions, last access and modification times) Supports special files (block and character devices, pipes and sockets) * Symbolic links (file names pointing to target files, not necessarily on MooseFS) and hard links (different names of files which refer to the same data on MooseFS) * Access to the file system can be limited based on IP address and/or password MooseFS on GitHub: https://github.com/moosefs/moosefs Packages repository, download: https://moosefs.com/download Documentation: https://moosefs.com/support Recent changes: https://github.com/moosefs/moosefs/blob/master/NEWS
