...CompareDir does just that: it can compare 2 directories + subdirectories and you decide what files you want to keep, copy or delete. Manual: point it at a MasterDir, a SlaveDir than click "Diff" = show only the files that are available in only 1 directory-tree. Or click "All" = show all files in both directories. Or click "Eq" = show file only the files that are the same. Note the program cheqs FileName, FileSize, FileDate and (sub)directory. ...Although AWS provides a pretty comprehensive UI to manage your objects, this is not enough and forces you to use the aws-cli in those cases where you need a precise action to take place, or whenever this action is not even available. The specific use case that pushed me to build this was object versioning, where while you can restore specific versions, undelete and so on, you can only do this one file at a time. Therefore, if you are dealing with large amounts of objects, you don't have a quick way to do so (aws-cli even fails to work with pages -> https://github.com/aws/aws-cli/issues/3191 is still open by the time I am writing this). cdu : a color du, disk usage
An unix command line "du" with colors
cdu (for Color du) is a perl script which call du and display a pretty histogram with optional colors which allow to imediatly see the directories which take disk space. With no arguments, cdu reports the disk space for all subdirectories of the current directory. With only one directory argument, cdu reports the disk space for all subdirectories of the given directory. You can also call du with no predefined options.
