A cross-platform ANSI-BBS terminal designed to connect to remote BBSs via telnet, rlogin, or SSH. Supports ANSI music and the IBM charset when possible. Will run from a console, under X11 using XLib, or using SDL.

HPN-SSH is a series of performance patches for OpenSSH. By addressing network limitations and CPU limitations significant throughput performance can be realized. Gains of close to two orders of magnitude are possible on long fat network paths. The official git repo is now available at http://github.com/rapier1/openssh-portable. nps-ssh-askpass does exactly the same job as x11-ssh-askpass. The difference is that nps-ssh-askpass does not require xmkmf, so it is easier to compile on Mac OS X and Cygwin.

DotNetSSH is a pure .NET implementation of the SSH2 client protocol suite. DotNetSSH development is alive and active. DotNetSSH is a fork of Tamir's excellent SharpSSH, itself is a port of JCraft's java Jsch.

Endlessh is a lightweight SSH tarpit that occupies automated attackers by slowly transmitting an endless, randomly generated protocol banner. Administrators can move their real SSH service to another port and place Endlessh on the commonly scanned port. Because it delays clients before cryptographic negotiation begins, the program requires no cryptographic library. Its single-threaded C implementation uses poll to maintain many simultaneous connections efficiently. Configuration options control the listening port, transmission delay, banner line length, client limit, address family, and logging level. Signals support graceful shutdowns, configuration reloads, and connection-statistics reporting. The project can run directly on Unix-like systems or inside a Docker container.
