Hydrogen is an advanced drum machine for GNU/Linux, Windows and Mac OS X. It's main goal is to bring professional yet simple and intuitive pattern-based drum programming.

Psycle is a Music tracker (like FastTracker 2 or Impulse Tracker) combined with plugin modularity. It supports its own plugin API, the VST2 plugin standard, and a tracker style sampler playback.

There’s also a great selection of high-performance building blocks for signal-processing programmers familiar with languages like Max/MSP. With Tone.js they can create their own synthesizers, effects, and complex control signals.

SPTK is a suite of speech signal processing tools for UNIX environments, e.g., LPC analysis, PARCOR analysis, LSP analysis, PARCOR synthesis filter, LSP synthesis filter, vector quantization techniques, and other extended versions of them.

The Analysis & Resynthesis Sound Spectrograph analyses a sound file into a spectrogram and is able to synthesise this spectrogram, or any other user-created image, back into a sound.

This software integrates a small, specialized synthesizer and vocal processor. It can be used to learn Byzantine Church singing. You can play from the keyboard, mouse or touch screen. MIDI input is also available. Voice functions include: pitch highlighting, synthesizer control by voice, pitch correction and voice-to-ison conversion. On the screen there are labels with symbols of Byzantine notes. There is a metronome. The program is oriented on the Chrysanthos tuning of the diatonic scale: 9/8 - 12/11 - 88/81. The octave is divided into 17 (or 19) non-equal parts, it allows you to get all the Byzantine modes.

Triceratops is an analogue style polyphonic subtractive synthesizer plugin, for use with the LV2 plug architecture, at this time there is no standalone version. An up to date version of the LV2 library is required along with a suitable host (e.g. Qtractor, Jalv, Ardour), I highly recommend either the KXstudio distro or the KXstudio ubuntu repositories! The intention is for this synth to be part of a suite including a drum machine (Stegosaurus) and a wavetable synth (Dracorex), watch this space.

Midimusic provides archives of Wurlitzer and Estey music rolls in e-roll format. These are downloadable and the music can be played using eplayOrgan. An archive of Miditzer organ midi files is also provided. All features of the original e-rolls and midis are available including stops and swell. eplayOrgan is a fully featured organ which can also be played from a full midified console or standard midi keyboards. Stops may be set using a touch screen. eplayOrgan operates under Windows. Mac and Linux are supported under Wine. The programs work just the same under Wine on Mac and Linux as they do under Windows.
