graphical front-end for editing/transposing abc music files
Toadflax is a graphical tool for displaying and editing/manipulating tunes in abc notation. It exists in two forms, Toadflax built using GTK and py_toadflax built using tkinter, the python window toolkit. It allows the user to load in abc music notation files and work on each one independently. The music is displayed on-screen, without needing to use a PostScript interpreter, making it a lightweight notation viewer. The Toadflax program uses a music renderer based on yaps, while py_toadflax uses the music renderer from the abcCairo project based on abcm2ps. burns a random selection of audio files from your collection onto a CD
randomcd is a python script that allows you to copy random playlists based on your collection of audio files onto a CD or a USB drive. You can either specify a directory to explore, or let the program use your player's database (only clementine, banshee and rhythmbox are currently supported). If appropriate software is installed, files can be normalised before they're copied. Specific genres can also be excluded from the compilation. -

I wrote this little program to be able to easily create mp3 sticks to play in my car directly from my Amarok collection). For this purpose the stick needs a flat folder structure and be sorted alphabetically before copying. The small Qt4 dialog has a drop area where you can drag mp3s (from file manager or Amarok, perhaps also other programs) onto it and it will read the ID3 tags and create a sorted folder structure with "Artist - Album" and shows the number of tracks and size it would take.... -
