The Toadflax program uses a music renderer based on yaps, while py_toadflax uses the music renderer from the abcCairo project based on abcm2ps. The source can be hand-edited or transformed in various ways using an adaptation of the abc2abc program. Music Merge Manager

Identify duplicate songs based on track metadata (ID3, etc)

...Toggles let you determine how specific the matching criteria must be: Track number and song name? Artist, album, and track length? All of the above? Ultimately this program will let you delete duplicates from either the left or right trees, or copy non-duplicated files from one tree to the other. However until the matching code gets a lot more reliable the only action allowed is to export the list of files suspected to be duplicated in both trees. (Prerequisite: uses the `Mutagen' library to process ID3 data and `wx' for the UI.) ...

    BitrateCompressionCalculator for Python

A simple Python utility to calculate file size from bitrate.

BitrateCompressionCalculator for Python (BCCpy) is a very simple application for calculating a file size from length and bitrate. BCCpy came about as the result of my beginning to learn Python and recreating the basic functionality of a simple VB program I wrote back in 1999. Since I was never very proficient with Visual Basic (or Applesoft BASIC for that matter); this application is very basic and could use lots of improvements. I'll implement them as I learn them. As of October 6, 2018; I have "abandoned" the project. I have actually forgotten everything I know about Python since writing this and other than adding error handlers; I really don't know how much further I could take it. ...

    Mp3Drop

Sort and copy mp3 files to USB stick

I wrote this little program to be able to easily create mp3 sticks to play in my car directly from my Amarok collection). For this purpose the stick needs a flat folder structure and be sorted alphabetically before copying. The small Qt4 dialog has a drop area where you can drag mp3s (from file manager or Amarok, perhaps also other programs) onto it and it will read the ID3 tags and create a sorted folder structure with "Artist - Album" and shows the number of tracks and size it would take. ...
