fast, portable Pascal compiler using gnu c as intermediate code
p5c is a fast portable iso standard pascal compiler. It is derived from the pascal p5 compiler and creates gnu c code instead of p-code. This makes it very fast since it uses gcc to generate native code. p5c is multi platform - it is easy to get up and running since you only need gcc to start. An effort to bring the latest MuPDFLib version to PASCAL/LAZARUS, based on the work from Dinko Miljak and Blestan Tabakov. MuPDF is a lightweight PDF, XPS and E-Book Viewer. You do not have many options if you want to included PDF support in your Pascal/Lazarus projects. MuPDF is maybe one of the best options, but is stuck on version 1.08 (from 2015), to be used with Lazarus. I managed to bring the supported version up to 1.17.0 (latest MuPDF). Only for Win64. This is yet another long-term project (YALP?). The aim is to write a portable GUI/OS for Atari ST, Amiga and DOS. The code must be small, fast and support modern GUI features. ie: Embedded component controls. The code current compiles with Highspeed Pascal (Atari ST) or FreePascal. I hope to have it compiling for the Amiga (also using Highspeed Pascal), and supporting a built in p-code compiler/interpreter for cross platform development. -
