The Avocado language is compiled and currently allows for the creation of console applications. Work on Avocado and the integrated development environment (IDE) began on February 19, 2025. A unique feature of this language is the ability to write commands in Polish and English, compiling code into .exe format. The language is freely available for commercial and non-commercial projects. The Avocado source code is available under the MIT License on GitHub. Avocado is transpiled to Free Pascal and then compiled by the FPC compiler, making it as fast as C or Rust, but with syntax reminiscent of Python. I looked for a C to Pascal converter but everything I found was just some simple string replacer. So I developed this syntax interpreter. It was born to convert C algorithms included in R language sources to Lazarus. So it converts just functions ad NOT .H files. It tries to do a ready to compile convertsion. I put my project here because I hope that someone would continue the development. For me it does everything I need and I will not upgrade this project anymore. Pdfgrep search text in multiple PDF files and grep can serach text in multiple text files. You can use regular expressions for the search (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regular_expression). This GUI and the command line tools work without indexing. The following options are used: -i (ignore case) and -F (fixed strings), -n (Print page number or output lines) and -H (Print the file name for each match) from the command line tool. The -r option will be done by the program itself. Performance: This GUI works well when searching in several hundreds of documents (depends on the speed of your computer and the length of the documents).
