    Nightmare

    Nightmare

    A high-level browser automation library

Nightmare is a high-level browser automation library from Segment. The goal is to expose a few simple methods that mimic user actions (like goto, type and click), with an API that feels synchronous for each block of scripting, rather than deeply nested callbacks. It was originally designed for automating tasks across sites that don't have APIs, but is most often used for UI testing and crawling. Segment started with an open source project. Since then, we’ve open sourced hundreds of our repos. We want to continue supporting the community by publishing our code and other developers’ awesome open source projects. We use these open source projects as the foundations of our infrastructure to handle billions of API calls per day and to allow us to rapidly build and test code on the client.

    NodObjC

    NodObjC

    The Node.js ⇆ Objective-C bridge

NodObjC is a bidirectional bridge between Node.js and the Objective-C runtime. It lets JavaScript programs load Apple frameworks and call Objective-C classes, methods, constants, structures, and related C functions. BridgeSupport metadata is used to generate framework APIs dynamically, while the Node FFI layer performs runtime calls. Objective-C message passing is represented with JavaScript function-call syntax that preserves multipart selector names. Developers can build Cocoa or iOS interface prototypes while keeping application logic in JavaScript. Because code runs through V8 instead of being compiled into a native executable, changes can be tested without a full rebuild. The project is especially suited to rapid prototyping, scripting Apple APIs, and applications where development flexibility matters more than maximum native performance.

    Node Binance Trader NBT

    Node Binance Trader NBT

Cryptocurrency trading strategy & portfolio management development

By default the trader tries to trade with margin, so you need to have at least 0.001 BTC in your spot as well as your margin account. Also, to cover trading fees, you'll need a small amount of BNB in both your spot and margin wallets. While the Bitcoin vs. Altcoins website itself is closed source, the automated trading bot called Node Binance Trader (NBT) is open source. It connects to your Binance account via the Binance API and executes the trades on your behalf. Choose any unique name you like and enter a region. You will then need to retrieve your Binance API keys from Binance. They will need to allow trading and margin wallet access. Heroku only gives dyno's on its free tier 550 hours of run time per month. This is just short of what you will need to keep your new trading bot up and running 24/7. But by simply adding your credit card to your Heroku account your allowance is extended to 1000 hours, which is plenty.

    Node Redis

    Node Redis

A high performance Node.js Redis client

This library is a 1 to 1 mapping of the Redis commands. Each Redis command is exposed as a function on the client object. All functions take either an args Array plus optional callback Function or a variable number of individual arguments followed by an optional callback. Node Redis currently doesn't natively support promises (this is coming in v4), however you can wrap the methods you want to use with promises using the built-in Node.js util.promisify method on Node.js >= v8. Care should be taken with user input if arrays are possible (via body-parser, query string or other method), as single arguments could be unintentionally interpreted as multiple args. Minimal parsing is done on the replies. Commands that return a integer return JavaScript Numbers, arrays return JavaScript Array. HGETALL returns an Object keyed by the hash keys. All strings will either be returned as string or as buffer depending on your setting.

    Node.js Testing Best Practices

    Node.js Testing Best Practices

Beyond the basics of Node.js testing

This repository narrows the testing lens to Node.js backends, focusing on the challenges of servers, microservices, and cloud-native deployments. It covers API testing, contract testing, and persistence-layer strategies that avoid coupling tests to fragile implementation details. The material explains how to structure tests around process boundaries—HTTP, queues, cron jobs—while keeping fast feedback cycles through selective integration tests and reliable test doubles. It dives into topics like test containers, ephemeral databases, and idempotent fixtures to ensure deterministic runs in CI. Observability is treated as part of testing: logs, metrics, and tracing make failures diagnosable instead of mysterious. By aligning tests with service responsibilities instead of internal modules, the guide helps teams produce suites that reflect real production behavior.

    Node.js chaos monkey

    Node.js chaos monkey

Extremly naughty chaos monkey for Node.js

node-chaos-monkey brings chaos engineering to Node.js by injecting controlled failures into running services to validate resilience. It lets teams rehearse real-world incidents—latency spikes, random process exits, resource exhaustion—and observe how circuits, retries, and backoff strategies behave. The tool is designed to be safe and configurable, enabling narrow blast radii and scheduled experiments during non-critical windows. It integrates naturally with staging or even carefully guarded production environments where you want confidence instead of assumptions. Findings feed back into reliability work: hardening timeouts, rethinking concurrency limits, and improving fallbacks at code and infrastructure levels. By turning failure into a planned exercise, teams can surface weak spots before customers do.

Node.js express.js MongoDB JWT REST API

Node.js express.js MongoDB JWT REST API

Node.js express.js MongoDB JWT REST API - Basic Project Skeleton

This is a basic API REST skeleton written on JavaScript using async/await. Great for building a starter web API for your front-end (Android, iOS, Vue, react, angular, or anything that can consume an API) This project is created to help other developers create a basic REST API in an easy way with Node.js. This basic example shows how powerful and simple JavaScript can be. Do you want to contribute? Pull requests are always welcome to show more features. Custom email/password user system with basic security and blocking for preventing brute force attacks. Login access log with IP, browser and country location (for country it looks for the header cf-ipcountry that CloudFlare creates when protecting your website). NPM script for keeping good source code formatting using prettier and ESLint. JWT Tokens, make requests with a token after login with the Authorization header with value Bearer yourToken where yourToken is the signed and encrypted token given in the response.

    NodeGit

    NodeGit

    Native Node bindings to Git

Asynchronous native Node bindings to libgit2. NodeGit will work on most systems out-of-the-box without any native dependencies. If you receive errors about libstdc++, which are commonly experienced when building on Travis-CI, you can fix this by upgrading to the latest libstdc++-4.9. If you wish to help contribute to NodeGit it is useful to build locally. If you encounter errors, you most likely have not configured the dependencies correctly. You will need libpcre, libpcreposix, libkrb5, libk5crypto, and libcom_err libraries installed on your Linux machine. When building locally, you will also need development packages for kerberos and pcre, so both pcre-config, and krb5-config utilities must be present on your machine.

    NoderCMS

    NoderCMS

    Node.js + MongoDB

Super concurrency and super high data reading speed, coupled with flexible custom models, easy-to-use templates, advanced background management system and multi-user permissions, have created a perfect NoderCMS. The inherent asynchronous non-blocking programming brought by Node.js makes NoderCMS calmly face up to millions of concurrent visits. Thanks to the non-relational database MongoDB, everything is stored in BSON format, faster and faster. Through the combination of models and custom fields, you can easily create completely different columns and various recommendation positions according to your needs. Set different authority roles according to the management process, assign different users, and let everyone focus on the current situation. The simple and easy-to-use experience brought by the Handlebars template engine can define everything without secondary development.
