    jscodeshift

    jscodeshift

    A JavaScript codemod toolkit

jscodeshift is a toolkit for running codemods over multiple JavaScript or TypeScript files. It provides A runner, which executes the provided transform for each file passed to it. It also outputs a summary of how many files have (not) been transformed. A wrapper around recast, providing a different API. Recast is an AST-to-AST transform tool and also tries to preserve the style of original code as much as possible. As already mentioned, jscodeshift also provides a wrapper around recast. In order to properly use the jscodeshift API, one has to understand the basic building blocks of recast (and ASTs) as well. An AST node is a plain JavaScript object with a specific set of fields, in accordance with the Mozilla Parser API. The primary way to identify nodes is via their type. It's OK to not know the structure of every AST node type. The (esprima) AST explorer is an online tool to inspect the AST for a given piece of JS code.

    jsdoc-to-markdown

    jsdoc-to-markdown

Generate markdown documentation from jsdoc-annotated javascript

Generates markdown API documentation from jsdoc annotated source code. Useful for injecting API docs into project README files. By default, dmd generates github-flavored markdown. Not all markdown parsers render gfm correctly. If your generated docs look incorrect on sites other than Github (e.g. npmjs.org) try enabling this option to disable Github-specific syntax. Two options to render parameter lists: 'list' or 'table' (default). Table format works well in most cases but switch to list if things begin to look crowded / squashed. By default, the output of each invocation of the main generation methods (render, getTemplateData etc) is stored in the cache (your system's temporary directory). Future jsdoc2md invocations with the same input options and source code will return the output immediately from cache, making the tool much faster/cheaper. If the input options or source code changes, fresh output will be generated.

    lite-server

    lite-server

    Lightweight node server

lite-server is a lightweight development server designed to simplify local web development by providing live reloading and static file serving with minimal configuration. It is commonly used for front-end projects, particularly those built with frameworks like Angular, where rapid feedback during development is essential. The server automatically reloads the browser when files change, reducing the need for manual refreshes and speeding up the development cycle. It is built on top of BrowserSync, which enables synchronized testing across multiple devices and browsers. Lite Server requires very little setup, often configured with a simple JSON file or default settings. It supports serving static files, proxying API requests, and customizing server behavior through configuration options. The tool is designed to be easy to integrate into existing workflows, especially when used alongside task runners or package scripts.

    luaparse

    luaparse

A Lua parser written in JavaScript

A Lua parser written in JavaScript, originally written by Oskar Schöldström for his bachelor's thesis at Arcada. Unlike strings in JavaScript, Lua strings are not Unicode strings, but bytestrings (sequences of 8-bit values); likewise, implementations of Lua parse the source code as a sequence of octets. However, the input to this parser is a JavaScript string, i.e. a sequence of 16-bit code units (not necessarily well-formed UTF-16). This poses a problem of how those code units should be interpreted, particularly if they are outside the Basic Latin block ('ASCII').

You can even customise the style of the PDF by passing an optional path to your CSS and you can pre-process your markdown file before it is converted to a PDF by passing in a pre-processing function, for templating.

    meta

    meta

Tool for turning many repos into a meta repo

Tool for turning many repos into a meta repo. why choose many repos or a monolithic repo, when you can have both with a meta repo? meta is powered by plugins that wrap common commands, letting you execute them against some or all of the repos in your solution at once. meta is built on loop, and as such inherits loops ability to easily target a particular set of directories for executing a common command (eg meta git status --include-only dir1,dir2. See loop for more available options). meta is a tool for managing multi-project systems and libraries. It answers the conundrum of choosing between a mono repo or many repos by saying "both", with a meta repo! Give every engineer on your team the same project setup, regardless of where it's cloned. Execute arbitrary commands against many repos to manage your projects. Easily wrap commands for working with any platform, not just Node!

    minimatch

    minimatch

    A glob matcher in javascript

minimatch is a lightweight JavaScript library that implements glob style pattern matching for file paths and strings. It is commonly used in Node.js tooling, build systems, and file walkers to determine whether paths match specified patterns. The library reproduces the behavior of Bash style glob expansion while adding Node specific handling for path separators. It is designed to be small, fast, and reliable, making it suitable for performance-sensitive workflows. Developers often use minimatch as a foundational dependency in larger tools such as package managers and bundlers. The project focuses on correctness in pattern parsing and cross-platform behavior. Overall, minimatch serves as a core utility for pattern-based file matching in the JavaScript ecosystem.

    mustache.js

    mustache.js

Minimal templating with {{mustaches}} in JavaScript

Logic-less templates. mustache.js is a zero-dependency implementation of the mustache template system in JavaScript. Mustache is a logic-less template syntax. It can be used for HTML, config files, source code - anything. It works by expanding tags in a template using values provided in a hash or object. We call it "logic-less" because there are no if statements, else clauses, or for loops. Instead there are only tags. Some tags are replaced with a value, some nothing, and others a series of values. Tags are indicated by the double mustaches. {{person}} is a tag, as is {{#person}}. In both examples, we'd refer to person as the key or tag key. All variables are HTML escaped by default. If you want to return unescaped HTML, use the triple mustache: {{{name}}}. You can also use & to unescape a variable: {{& name}}. This may be useful when changing delimiters (see "Set Delimiter" below).

    parallax.js

    parallax.js

Parallax Engine that reacts to the orientation of a smart device

Parallax Engine that reacts to the orientation of a smart device. Where no gyroscope or motion detection hardware is available, the position of the cursor is used instead. parallax.js reacts to the orientation of your smart device, offsetting layers depending on their depth within a scene. If you don't have a smart device, no worries, if no gyroscope or motion detection hardware is available, parallax.js uses the position of your cursor instead. Most configuration settings can be declared either as data-value attribute of the scene element, or property of the configuration object. The programmatic approach will take priority over the data-value attributes set in the HTML. Some options can also be set at run-time via instance methods. Parallax will only be in effect while the cursor is over the scene element, otherwise all layers move back to their initial position.

    parrot-mocker-web

    parrot-mocker-web

Simple web server to forward received requests to real servers

This project provides a simple mock server, which works with the Chrome plugin parrot-mocker. Install the Chrome plugin, parrot-mocker, so that your pages have the ability to intercept requests and forward to this mock server. Other usages without the plugin can refer to the parrot-mocker project. For example, if deployed in leancloud, please open your Chrome browser and visit the index page first. Other instances like now.sh are similar. Now you will find that requests are forwarded to the mock server, which are also visiable at index page. If visiting other pages in the same domain, their requests will also be forwarded to this mock server.

    phantomas

    phantomas

Headless Chromium-based web performance metrics collector

Headless Chromium-based modular web performance metrics collector. Modular approach, each metric is generated by a separate "module". phantomas "core" acts as an events emitter that each module can hook into. In-depth metrics such as: number of events bound via jQuery, calls to window.writeor complex and duplicated CSS selectors (via analyze-css). JSON as an output format. Easy integration with other nodejs projects via CommonJS module (see API docs). Metrics can be emitted from the JavaScript code of the page phantomas is run against (thanks to helper functions available in window.__phantomas). Device profiles allow phantomas to emulate mobile or tablet (by setting a proper user agent and viewport). phantomas comes as a CommonJS module that you can use in your nodejs projects. Use grunt to automate daily dev tasks, including your's application web performance.
