    Razzle

    Razzle

    Create server-rendered universal JavaScript applications

JavaScript applications are tough to setup. Either you buy into a framework, fork a boilerplate, or set things up yourself. Aiming to fill this void, Razzle is a tool that abstracts all complex configuration needed for both SPA's and SSR applications into a single dependency--giving you the awesome developer experience of create-react-app, but then leaving the rest of your app's architectural decisions about frameworks, routing, and data fetching up to you. With this approach, Razzle not only works with React, but also Preact, Vue, Svelte, and Angular, and most importantly, whatever comes next. Razzle has many examples, we might have one that fits your needs. You don't need to worry about setting up multiple webpack configs or other build tools. Just start editing src/App.js and go! If you have issues with css this might be related to postcss being resolved wrong.

    Reactide

    Reactide

The first dedicated IDE for React web application development

Reactide is a cross-platform desktop application that offers a simulator, made for live reloading and quick React component prototyping. React brings an integrated suite of development tools to streamline react development. The days of flipping between browser, IDE, and server are over. Reactide runs an integrated Node server and custom browser simulator eliminating the need to configure any servers, build-tools, and even offers hot module reloading right out of the box. To get started, just input your .js and .html entry points inside Reactide's universal configuration. Once those entry points are changed, go ahead and run "npm run reactide-server". Navigate through a live-representation of your app’s architecture. Reactide also offers integration with Create React App for faster project boilerplate configuration. The simulator and component tree are both functioning for all React applications.

    Reagent

    Reagent

A minimalistic ClojureScript interface to React.js

Reagent is a minimalistic ClojureScript interface to React that enables developers to write efficient React components using plain ClojureScript functions and data, leveraging a Hiccup-like syntax and immutable state to simplify UI creation. React is pretty darn fast, and so is Reagent. It should even be faster than plain old javascript React a lot of the time, since ClojureScript allows us to skip a lot of unnecessary rendering (through judicious use of React's shouldComponentUpdate). The ClojureScript overhead is kept down, thanks to lots of caching. Code size is a little bigger than React.js, but still quite small. The todomvc example clocks in at roughly 79K gzipped, using advanced compilation.

    Relative-Time Element

    Relative-Time Element

Web component extensions to the standard <time> element

Formats a timestamp as a localized string or as relative text that auto-updates in the user's browser. This allows the server to cache HTML fragments containing dates and lets the browser choose how to localize the displayed time according to the user's preferences. Every visitor is served the same markup from the server's cache. When it reaches the browser, the custom relative-time JavaScript localizes the element's text into the local timezone and formatting. Dates are displayed before months, and a 24-hour clock is used, according to the user's browser settings. If the browser's JavaScript is disabled, the default text served in the cached markup is still displayed.

    SuperTest

    SuperTest

Super-agent driven library for testing node.js HTTP servers

A super-agent driven library for testing node.js HTTP servers using a fluent API. The motivation with this module is to provide a high-level abstraction for testing HTTP, while still allowing you to drop down to the lower-level API provided by superagent. Install SuperTest as an npm module and save it to your package.json file as a development dependency. You may pass an http.Server, or a Function to request(), if the server is not already listening for connections then it is bound to an ephemeral port for you so there is no need to keep track of ports. One thing to note, is that superagent now sends any HTTP error (anything other than a 2XX response code) to the callback as the first argument if you do not add a status code expect (i.e. .expect(302)). Expectations are run in the order of definition. This characteristic can be used to modify the response body or headers before executing an assertion.

    Swig

    Swig

Take a swig of the best template engine for JavaScript

Swig is an archived JavaScript template engine inspired by Django and Jinja syntax. It renders templates in Node.js and major web browsers and can integrate with Express applications. Developers can use inheritance, includes, variables, filters, loops, conditionals, and other familiar template constructs. Automatic output escaping helps produce safer HTML by default. The engine can be extended with custom filters, tags, and related extras to support application-specific behavior. It was designed to remain compact while offering a full set of server-side rendering conveniences. The repository was archived in 2018 and is no longer maintained, so it is best suited to legacy applications, migration work, or historical study.

    SwissGL

    SwissGL

SwissGL is a minimalistic wrapper on top of WebGL2 JS API

SwissGL is a compact JavaScript library that provides a streamlined abstraction layer over the WebGL2 API, designed to minimize boilerplate when building GPU-accelerated graphics, simulations, and procedural visualizations. Acting as a "Swiss Army knife" for WebGL2, it simplifies shader, texture, and framebuffer management into a single, expressive interface that enables developers to write complex GPU workflows in just a few lines of code. The library centers around one main function that unifies rendering and compute operations, allowing the creation of particle systems, GPGPU effects, and real-time simulations entirely on the GPU. Despite its simplicity and small size (under 1000 lines of code), SwissGL demonstrates remarkable flexibility, from basic visual experiments to complex multi-pass rendering pipelines. It’s also designed as an exploration of minimalist graphics API design, serving as an early experimental step toward the upcoming WebGPU era.

The simple, easy-to-implement library to export HTML tables to xlsx, xls, csv, and txt files. To use this library, include the FileSaver.js library, and TableExport library before the closing body tag of your HTML document. In order to provide Office Open XML SpreadsheetML Format ( .xlsx ) support, you must include the following third-party library in your project before both FileSaver.js and TableExport. To support legacy browsers ( Chrome < 20, Firefox 13, Opera 12.10, IE, 10, Safari 6 ) include the Blob.js polyfill before the FileSaver.js script. Additional properties can be passed-in to customize the look and feel of your tables, buttons, and exported data. Notice that by default, TableExport will create export buttons for three different filetypes xls, csv, txt. You can choose which buttons to generate by setting the formats property to the filetype(s) of your choice.

    Tabris.js

    Tabris.js

Create native mobile apps in JavaScript or TypeScript

Tabris.js is a framework for developing mobile apps with native UIs in JavaScript. iOS and Android apps can be built entirely from one code base, which frees you from the task of managing code for multiple platforms. The code of the application is loaded dynamically - nothing is precompiled. JavaScript is executed Just-in-Time and passed via a native bridge to the device. Tabris.js accesses native controls and does not depend on web views to render the app's UI. As a result, the performance of the apps cannot be distinguished from apps developed directly in native code of the platforms. Tabris.js can be extended with Cordova plugins to add support for additional native features. A cordova plugin is also able to directly interface with the native widgets.

    Vanilla Web Projects

    Vanilla Web Projects

Mini projects built with HTML5, CSS & JavaScript

vanillawebprojects is a collection of small, hands-on web apps built with only HTML, CSS, and plain JavaScript to teach core front-end skills without frameworks. Each project targets a concrete concept—DOM manipulation, events, localStorage, fetch, form validation, audio/video APIs, and more—so learners see ideas applied in working code. The codebases are intentionally compact and readable, making them easy to clone, tweak, and extend. Projects progress from beginner-friendly to moderately advanced, offering a steady ramp of difficulty and variety. This repository is popular for daily practice, classroom demos, and portfolio starters because it emphasizes results you can see in the browser immediately. By avoiding heavy tooling, it keeps the focus on fundamentals that carry over to any library or framework later.

    Vuex

    Vuex

    Centralized State Management for Vue.js

Vuex is a centralized state management pattern and library for Vue.js applications. It stores all the components in an application following rules that ensure the state is only mutated in a predictable manner. Unlike other management patterns, Vuex defines and separates the concepts involved in state management, and enforces rules that maintain independence between views and states. It is also a library implementation that's specifically tailored for Vue.js, so as to take advantage of its granular reactivity system for efficient updates. Vuex is ideal for building a medium-to-large-scale SPA, as it is better at handling state outside of Vue components.

    Wasp

    Wasp

A programming language that understands what a web app is

Wasp (Web Application Specification Language) is a declarative DSL (domain-specific language) for developing, building and deploying modern full-stack web apps with less code. Concepts such as app, page, user, login, frontend, production, etc. are baked into the language, bringing a new level of expressiveness and allowing you to get more work done with fewer lines of code. While describing high-level features with Wasp, you still write the rest of your logic in your favorite technologies (currently React, NodeJS, Prisma). Wasp is in alpha and is therefore likely to change a lot, have bugs and miss important features. Due to its expressiveness, you can create and deploy a production-ready web app from scratch with very few lines of concise, consistent, declarative code. When you need more control than Wasp offers, you can write code in existing technologies such as js/html/css/... and combine it with Wasp code!
