    OK

    OK

Welcome to the future of programming languages

...The language emphasises readability and pushing logic out into functions so cases remain simple. It includes concurrency via a map function that executes callbacks in parallel. The project is illustrative of Duffield’s vision: code should feel “magical to write” by removing what is unnecessary.

    ImageJ2x

    Java Image Processing Program

...The program supports simultaneous that number of windows (images), limited only by available memory. It is multithreaded, so that time-consuming operations such as reading lists in parallel with other operations are performed. It can calculate area and pixel value statistics of user-defined selection. It can measure distances and angles. It can record density histograms and line profiles. It supports standard image processing functions such as contrast manipulation, sharpening, smoothing, edge detection and filtering it through all kinds of geometric transformations such as Zoom in / out and rotation. ...

    Buck

    Buck

Build system that encourages the creation of small, reusable modules

...It encourages the creation of small, reusable modules consisting of code and resources, and supports a variety of languages on many platforms. Buck builds independent artifacts in parallel to take advantage of multiple cores on your machine. Further, it reduces incremental build times by keeping track of unchanged modules so that the minimal set of modules is rebuilt. Buck only uses the declared inputs, which means everybody gets the same results. Buck looks at the contents of your inputs, not their timestamps to figure out what needs to be built. ...

    Fairseq

    Fairseq

Facebook AI Research Sequence-to-Sequence Toolkit written in Python

Fairseq(-py) is a sequence modeling toolkit that allows researchers and developers to train custom models for translation, summarization, language modeling and other text generation tasks. We provide reference implementations of various sequence modeling papers. Recent work by Microsoft and Google has shown that data parallel training can be made significantly more efficient by sharding the model parameters and optimizer state across data parallel workers. These ideas are encapsulated in the new FullyShardedDataParallel (FSDP) wrapper provided by fairscale. Fairseq can be extended through user-supplied plug-ins. Models define the neural network architecture and encapsulate all of the learnable parameters. ...

    WFIO Java Bindings

    Java bindings for WFIO

This subproject contains a parallel implementation effort for the Java Virtual Machine. It allows for you to use the WFIO interface in your Java applications and will include a translation layer so that you can talk to the native WFIO libraries. This subproject exists partially to overcome the 8.3 file naming convention that WFIO itself is limited to.

    Statistical Rethinking 2022

    Statistical Rethinking 2022

    Statistical Rethinking course winter 2022

...The code emphasizes Bayesian data analysis using R, the rethinking package, and Stan models. It includes lecture code files, example datasets, and structured exercises that parallel the topics covered in the lectures (probability, regression, model comparison, Bayesian updating). The repo functions as a direct hands-on reference for students following the 2022 recorded lecture series. There are 10 weeks of instruction. Links to lecture recordings will appear in this table. Weekly problem sets are assigned on Fridays and due the next Friday, when we discuss the solutions in the weekly online meeting.

    CountBitsSet

minimal benchmark code for Counting Set Bits (ones) in an Integer

I was curious how much better the Algorithms, pointed out by BitTwiddling Hacks, perform than a simple Lookup Table approach... Now I think, perhaps my little investigation is interesting for others too... PS: the parallel counting Algo is about 35% faster on average on my computers than a simple LUT based solution. Also this shows nicely how different a human brain compatible solution is to a binary machine optimal solution :-) In the meantime I added other Algorithms beside countbisset (hamming weight): ceil(log2()) + floor(log2()), bitreverse, ... ...

    Android-Plugin-Framework

    Android-Plugin-Framework

    Android Plugin Framework

Android-Plugin-Framework is an Android plug-in framework, which is used to run plug-in apk without installation through dynamic loading. Although this framework supports independent plug-ins, the goal is not to support any third-party apps, unlike products such as Parallel Space or App Clone. Compared with any third-party app, non-independent plug-ins can predict which system APIs and features they use, and all behaviors are predictable. And any third-party app is unpredictable. The approach of the framework is to hook on demand, that is, which system features and APIs need to be used, and which features and APIs are supported. ...

    Plumbing

    Prismatic's Clojure(Script) utility belt

...A Graph encodes the structure of a computation, but not how it happens, allowing for many execution strategies. For example, we can compile a Graph lazily so that step values are computed as needed. Or, we can parallel-compile the Graph so that independent step functions are run in separate threads.
