    MOSSCO

    MOSSCO

Modular System for Shelves and Coasts

The Modular System for Shelves and Coasts (MOSSCO) is a coupling framework for Earth System Models. It helps users to integrate their own numerical models with other developments. Quick Start: git clone git://git.code.sf.net/p/mossco/setups mossco-setups git clone git://git.code.sf.net/p/mossco/code mossco-code cd mossco-code cat QuickStart.md or read online https://sf.net/p/mossco/code/ci/master/tree/QuickStart.md Beware: this is alpha software, expect trouble! ------------------------- Better, read the full documentation online http://www.mossco.de/doc or make it yourself make doc acroread doc/mossco_documentation.pdf ---------------------- Why MOSSCO? MOSSCO, the "Modular System for Shelves and Coasts" is a framework for coupling processes or domains that are originally developed in standalone numerical models. The software MOSSCO implements this infrastructure in the form of a library of components and couplers, and of example coupled application.

    MuPIF

    MuPIF

    Multi-Physics Integration Framework (MuPIF)

Multi-Physics Integration Framework (MuPIF) is an integration framework, that will facilitate the implementation of multi-physic and multi-level simulations, built from independently developed components. The principal role of the framework is to steer individual components (applications) and to provide high-level data-exchange services. Each application should implement an interface that allows to steer application and execute data requests. The design supports various coupling strategies, discretization techniques, and also the distributed applications. The development of MuPIF is at present suppoted by the EU project Multiscale Modelling Platform: Smart design of nano-enabled products in green technologies, http://mmp-project.eu/, project number 604279.

    Noisy Channel Simulator

Demonstrate errors in transmission of a file over a noisy channel.

This program was written to dimonstrate errors in transmission for a presentation on Claude Shannon's Noisy Channel Coding Theorem. It takes an input file, the probability of a bit being flipped, and, if specified, the size of the header of the file. The program was intended to take monochrome bitmap files as input, so that each bit refers to a pixel in the image and thus, it would be easy to see errors in the output file, as some of the pixels would be flipped; however, it will work on any input file.
