Rick Dangerous was one of my favorite games for the spectrum (and Amiga), it already has a very good clone (xrick), but it lacks the ability to easily create new maps and enhance the graphics since they are built in the code itself. RickyD uses xml extensively to configure all aspects of the game, from objects to tiles and sound, maps are also written in xml, so they can be easily edited. Break-Out
The classical breakout game for hours of fun !
This game is a nice remake of the traditional brick breaker game, which rules are the following. Bounce the little ball with the bar to destroy all the bricks. Try to survive all the levels to get a nice score or go as fast as you can to make the best chronos and be in the high-scores. Good luck ! If the game does not launch correctly, you probably have to install a more recent version of Java. I uploaded a light version of the game (without the soundtrack). Feel free to leave a review ! -

Pytonis Universalis (name is still WIP) is a simple shoot 'em up. It is written completely in Python and uses Pygame so the code is as accessible as possible for others to inspect. The idea should be easy enough for anyone to understand: try to avoid running into flying saucers and their laser beams by shooting them down before they shoot you down. Every time you destroy a flying saucer you get points. Points are nice, you want them. -

A ball bounces up and down and by moving the mouse left or right you can make the ball go left and right and that's about all you can do? Easy? Boring? Think again! The object is to gather stars to advance in the game, but as you advance deadly obstacles will appear that you have to avoid. The game starts easy, but it will get harder and harder as you progress.
