Open Source Linux Screen Savers

A 3D matrix screensaver based on The Matrix Reloaded. Supports widescreen setups, and can be run on Windows, Mac OSX, Linux, BSD and many other UNIX based operating systems.

The Really Slick ScreenSavers GLX Port is a port of some nifty OpenGL screensavers that were originally written for Windows to GLX. It is intended for use with an existing screensaver daemon like xscreensaver.

This project intends to promote the use of KDE and KDE-based applications on/for Fedora™ Core and Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® through the creation and distribution of unofficial core and 3rd-party KDE RPM packages.

Boxxx Engine is a very simple 2D engine written purely in C language. This code uses BGI graphic library and is compiled with Borland Turbo C 2.0. The main difference from Caffeine is that Wakefull gives you (the user) access to the scripts being run - so you can adapt it for whatever environment you are using. This was developed for a system where Caffeine was not readily available.

Program can be used as screensaver, via command line to generate a personalized greeting or interactively to generate in 3D scenes with flowers, flower elements, bouquets or meadows. In screen saver mode flowers are created randomly and moved on the screen. By configuration you can select, what types are displayed - random flowers, bouquets and/or meadows - and the speed of movement. In generation mode you call the program from the command line, providing the type of display, the files to generate (picture only or picture and XML file) and one or two texts used as seeds for random number generation and as text to be placed in the picture.
