    SymPy

    SymPy

A computer algebra system written in pure Python

SymPy is an open source Python library for symbolic mathematics. Its goal is to become a full-featured computer algebra system (CAS) while maintaining the simplicity of its code. Written entirely in Python, SymPy is easy to use, comprehensible and easily extensible. It’s also very lightweight as it solely depends on mpmath, a pure Python library for arbitrary floating point arithmetic. SymPy has participated in every Google Summer of Code since 2007 and because of this has continuously...

    LaSolv

Solves symbolic electrical AC circuit equations

In electrical engineering, AC circuits are often used in the design process. However, deriving the gain, input impedance or what have you is tedious and error prone. LaSolv takes a SPICE like description of your circuit and solves for whatever parameter you specify- voltage gain, trans-impedance, input impedance, etc.

    Fosite - advection problem solver

numerical simulation code for solving transport equations in 1D/2D/3D

Fosite is a generic framework for the numerical solution of hyperbolic conservation laws in generalized orthogonal coordinates. Its main purpose is the simulation of compressible flows in accretion disks. The underlying numerical solution method belongs to the family of unsplit conservative finite volume TVD schemes. The method is 2nd order accurate in space and uses high order Runge-Kutta and multistep schemes for time evolution. In addition to the pure advection code several source terms...

    PBTK Optimizer

Application for optimization of parameters in PBTK models

...Some parameters used in PBTK models, such as tissue weights, are easily measure. Other parameters can be determined through in-vitro experiments or through extrapolation using published equations. When it is impractical to use these methods to estimate a parameter, techniques can be used to optimize parameters so that model results best fit validation data. This tool was designed to optimize a user-specified list of parameters to a user-specified PBTK model. The user also controls validation data and optimization algorithms. ...

    WavePacket

    WavePacket

Dynamics of quantum systems, controlled by external fields

WavePacket is a toolkit for numerical simulation of distinguishable particles. It can solve single or coupled time-independent or time-dependent (linear) Schrödinger and Liouville-von Neumann-equations, as well as classical or quantum-classical Liouville equations. External electric fields can be added within the semiclassical dipole approximation, thus WavePacket can be used to simulate modern experiments involving ultrashort light pulses in photo-induced physics or chemistry, including quantum optimal control. With its visualization of quantum dynamics generated 'on the fly', WavePacket is suitable for teaching quantum mechanics as well as for research projects, see also the numerous demonstration examples . ...

    VisualRiSC

Toolbox visualizing computations of Realizable Sign Conditions.

This toolbox contains a set of Python procedures in order to compute examples associated with the computation of Realizable Sign Conditions (RiSC) due to the approach by Basu, Pollack and Roy. The RiSC approach is a way to solve and analyze systems of polynomial equations and inequalities over the real numbers in the field of real-algebraic geometry. The involved computations often consist of highly sophisticated notions, not easy to illustrate by hand. VisualRiSC provides implementations of such notions and functions using the Python package SymPy, on the one hand, and an interface to Gnuplot in order for a visualization of examples using the Python package Gnuplot.py.
